I traveled to Hartford, CT for business and chose this hotel due to the location of my job. While the location was very close to eateries, a few bars, and easily able to order if I chose not to leave; the hotel itself needs an upgrade in both cleanliness and property upgrades.
Upon checking in I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman who quickly checked me in with no problems and assigned my room. But the key card system is outdated and finicky. I had to switch it out twice within my 3 day stay.
My room was sloppy and it was apparent the tub had not been cleaned as there was hair in the tub and some film on the sink. I had to purchase some cleaner to do it myself but of course I was a little irritated.
The next morning I asked housekeeping for a comforter but she said she didn’t understand me so I used my translator app to assist. She then brings me a sheet and I asked again for something heavier as she continued her conversation but she kept saying she didn’t know what I was asking for. I left it alone and thanked her anyway.
The end of the workday I came back to my room and it had not been cleaned or touched by housekeeping which was weird because they were cleaning my floor when I asked for the comforter earlier in the day.
Upon showering I noticed again my linen had not been changed out.
The next morning the front desk was polite, the morning breakfast was lack luster, and the gym was out of order.
Check out process was simple and pleasant.
