It is definitely a more mature crowd, not a party hotel there is piano and the for dinner. There’s excellent meals at the restaurant. I did struggle to get room service delivered even within the timeframe, so be sure you eat before you go to your room and I struggled with getting beach, chairs and umbrellas in the area in which I wanted to be closer to the beach hotel does provide chairs and umbrellas for free, but they are far from the water so if you would like to stay closer to the water, please ask the hotel staff for instructions on how to obtain a ticket at the beach bar. None of these are complaints. These are just helpful for you to travel without struggle.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a larger room. It was perfect for us. We had a lovely view of the pool and park behind the property. The breakfast was wonderful with so many delicious offerings. The location of this hotel is perfect with the beach, shopping and restaurants all nearby. We would definitely return here!!

If I could give this hotel more stars, I would. The hotel is very elegant, properly maintained, staff is super nice and helpful, the breakfast spread was amazing! I would have stayed another night had I know how nice this hotel is

Our stay was wonderful! Such a stunning hotel so beautiful kept along with lovely staff. Breakfast was served in a beautiful room, so relaxing and plentiful. I would recommend and can’t wait to go back.

It should be a 5 star hotel. From friendly and professional staff to elaborate breakfast and happy hour appetizers and great house keeping. This is an exceptional hotel. Definitely worth returning

Superb breakfast and so many very attentive staff in a most charming space. The hotel room was impeccably clean and appeared freshly painted. The hotel is in a very grand traditional style, and the staff were always super courteous and full of useful information. Ilenya and Yuliya to name two, but really the whole team are excellent. Bike hire on site, situated right next to the boulevard and the beach, close to town but the quieter end. A perfect stay and ideal base for exploring Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio of course. I just marked the stars down for amenities as I wasn’t aware the pool would be closed (empty in fact). Having said that, it is probably still out of season and would’ve been too cold. Well done All, looking forward to returning some day.

Whar a beautiful hotel. Everything is very grand and elegant. Spacious room, great dining room experience for dinner and an outstanding spread for breakfast. Short walk to the beach. Definitely would stay again.

Breakfast was very good, a big variety

Room ok, but... the FRIDGE was NOT WORKING and had a very bad smell in inside!!! I had my my medications to keep cool in there and realised only on the third day that all was not right! Also, the windows - the hotel being very old - would not open/close easily. The outside green shutters totaly rusty and hard to open. Staff ok, although following my request for extra pillows&douvet - there were none in the wardrobe like in ALL the hotels I have ever stayed! - a member of staff entered my room while the "do not disturb" sign was on and just THREW the items on my unmade bed, in a very uncerimonious way, it seemed to me, and I found them on my return from my breakfast. The correct way I would have expected from such a 4☆ hotel, would have been to place them tidely on the table, perhaps, or the chair or the wardrobe!? Not just chucked on the unmade bed! Seemed to me a rather SHODDY way of doing things! Breakfast: totally marvellous! Bar, not used.

The hotel and rooms were spectacular, nicer than some of the much more expensive hotels we’ve stayed in throughout Europe. However, the food was subpar at best. I suggest enjoying the breakfast buffet as it’s convenient and satisfactory but nothing else. The other complaint is the noise when you are sitting out at the beautiful pool. Constant traffic and overwhelming dog barking, and I’m a huge dog fan, but it’s really disruptive, making it very hard to relax.

The public areas and rooms are fantastic and the staff very welcoming. The pool area could do with an update, but perhaps this is next as our room was freshly decorated with a lovely new bathroom. Excellent breakfast and perhaps the best ever scrambled eggs from a buffet. Dinner was fine, but not nearly as good as breakfast. Lovely pre dinner drinks in the cocktail bar with a nice selection of canapés. If you enjoy old world style, you will enjoy staying here.

Beautiful location and hotel. Clientele is elderly. Would recommend for older crowd. Younger people may want to consider something else.

The staff are wonderful, food was great, grounds are beautiful and clean. The hotel is located in the center of shopping and beach. We had fun renting bikes. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a last minute one night booking...the hotel front desk staff very nice, helpful, the only thing we arrived late and parking was full. The front desk lady who checked us in ( forgot her name) offer her parking spot if we couldn't find street parking. We did find parking behind the hotel. This was very thoughtful of her. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to chose from...wish we could hv enjoyed more of this beautiful hotel.
