We loved the hotel’s location—it was only about a 10–15 minute walk to shopping and restaurants, which made it easy to explore the area. One thing I’d recommend is asking about parking before you arrive. The hotel offers parking, but spaces are limited. The staff were extremely helpful in assisting us with finding street parking instead. We arrived around 4:00 p.m. on a Friday and had to pay for a few hours of street parking, which cost about $8. After 8:00 p.m. on Friday, parking was free through the weekend until Monday at 8:00 a.m. The room and bedding were nice. Did not try the breakfast.

Very nice, well maintained, very clean hotel. Breakfast was good. Breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms well maintained, clean and spacious. TV options were good, smart tv. Front desk staff were not too helpful, gave incorrect information regarding taxis. Location was 2 bus stops from train station with a less than 5 minute walk to the hotel. No one in the hotel to assist with luggage, had to carry up the main stairs to check in but had an elevator to your room.

The hotel and room were pristine! Very beautifully designed and maintained. We stayed only one night, to catch an early flight out of Florence but wish we could have stayed longer. We walked to a local restaurant and felt very safe- it was a residential area. The bus line ran along the street but we walked

Although the hotel is a distance from the central area of Florence, it was a peaceful location and easily accessed by tram and bus routes. The room itself is spacious and comfortable and the shower/bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was a small buffet and was delicious. I would recommend this hotel, particularly to solo travellers like myself!

Great location and wonderful staff!!

The staff was very kind and helpful! We had to fly from Florence to Zurich and did not want to take our big luggage, so they held our luggage for us. Then they had it in our room for us upon our return to Florence. They even remembered each of our names when we returned several days later, and we really felt like guests instead of just another number. I can not thank them enough for their hospitality!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Fortezza. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious for 2 - 3 people. The beds and linens were luxurious. The breakfast was good and plentiful. We walked to most of the sites we wanted to see or took a short taxi ride when we were too tired at night. I highly recommend the hotel.
