A charming Inn, reflecting Victoria's heritage. I felt welcomed by all staff. My spacious room was well-appointed and spotless.

Internet system needs an upgrade, its not the signal lavle- but problemns with your router S/W- loyts of 'DHCP" errors . Please improve the bike strorage area, even if to just clear the path and include power outlets to charge bikes (bringinfg Batteries into rooms is not a great alternatiev)

Very quaint, beautiful artwork and colors. Dont expect elevators, swimming pools or hify shop, you get a fun pub, decent breakfast, and a nice neighborhood to explore.

The hotel was a block away from James Bay Village with grocery/convenience stores, several restaurants of different cuisines, and cafes, and also a block away from Beacon Hill Park, which is my favourite park in Victoria. My group decided to take the bus from the ferry for our weekend trip, so we walked 6 minutes from the terminus bus stop at the Legislature to the hotel. The Strait was only a 10-15 min walk south, and Victoria Harbour was a 10 min walk north. The houses in the neighbourhood are some of the nicest and cutest (and probably oldest) houses in BC. The prices at the James Bay Inn Hotel were worth the location, walkability, and amenities. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly to top it all off!

I love Victoria. I love the James Bay neighbourhood. And I especially love the James Bay Inn. Emily Carr House half a block away. This was my 3rd stay in the last year. Another booking coming up soon! The staff are the best. On the front desk and in housekeeping. I am a big fan of the pub and restaurant. The menu is terrific and very affordable. Thanks everyone!

I enjoyed my stay It’s convenient to downtown. Have a nice cozy atmosphere a nice pub and restaurant and staff are friendly.

The location of the James Bay Inn is perfectly located within walking distance of downtown Victoria.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and prompt.

The service was excellent - friendly and helpful. The only issue was that there were a few cobwebs in the corners of the room - it needs a good dusting!

Very clean room. Not big but big enough for one or two. Had all that one needed. Staff was helpful and courteous. Housekeeping was excellent. Restaurant was better than expected (spacious, nice quality food, nice sized portions, fair pricing, good service). Often hotel restaurants are mediocre; this one was above par. . . . The only concern for some others may be the necessity to use steps (no elevator), but the staff was willing to help with luggage if asked. Not suitable for those who are not mobile. I asked for a room not near the bar, and my request was granted -- and my room was surely quiet. Parking was a little tight ar certain times but certainly adequate.

The food here is excellent.
