To be fair, the resort has highlights: the cleaning was excellent, the food was tasty, and the service by the pool was fantastic—the taco boy and the bartender near the restaurant were absolutely excellent. Unfortunately, the basic amenities and customer service fell short. The internet was very bad, and we had a problem with the AC in our room. Worst of all was the front desk. Whenever I went to them to get the AC issue resolved, they whispered behind my back, "here she come again." The final straw was checking out; the girl at the desk didn't say a single word to us, not even a simple goodbye. The outdoor staff deserves praise, but management seriously needs to retrain their reception team.

What I didn’t like is that they don’t let you rest they call you 10000 times just to offer you their packages

Small resort, but has everything you need. More attentive to your needs since it is a smaller resort. Very beautiful beachfront hotel. Will be back

This hotel was terrible it’s small like a motel and only have a pool in the. only have one buffets to eat at and what they call a restaurant which still was a buffet and the food selection is horrible and not good the other was a little stand by the pool which you had to eat out in the heat and the condiments were just setting out uncovered at the tables. The rooms are not what it shows in the picture it’s old and ran down and rooms are dirty! We had to go to the desk to switch rooms right after check in due to the cleanliness of the room and I absolutely couldn’t believe the dirty ring around the tub and the corroded shower-head! Switched us room still the same just slightly better so my husband and I had to sleep on top of the bed, not even getting in the covers to get through the night called Expedia to cancel the remainder of this day. The hotel told they we couldn’t we were prepaid when they could have and I know this first hand as I work in hotels but this trip was gifted to us for our anniversary so we just left and went to a all-inclusive Marriott resort down the road that was amazing but of course the flamingo still just chose to be greedy and keep our money even though we didn’t use the room for 3 days! WiFi sucks doesn’t work anywhere there and after speaking to the manager and giving them pictures of the room, all we got was I’m sorry but nothing we can do! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Although Expedia was great with what they could do on there end!

Location was awesome right by the beach. Lifeguard on duty during the day and seaweed was cleaned every day too. The two restaurants serve a variety of food and it was delicious. Best part they closed late. Only complained was the beer they served was on Tap and two type of modelo but the great part, you can walk across the street and purchase anything you want. You can also get local transportation, city bus, accross the street. I had booked an ocean view and I got it. Views from the room were breath taking. My flight arrived early but the hotel couldn't give my room until check in time, but they gave me access to everything else to include their restaurants. The hotel offered cabanas at no extra charge which I took advantage every day. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They asked me if I was celebrating anything which, I was and on my birthday I found a bottle of champagne. I was surprised they had paid attention and acknowledged the occasion of my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on staying here again on my next trip to Cancun.

What I appreciated the most was, based on my flight, I arrived very early to the hotel and they checked me in nevertheless, so that even though I didn’t have access to my room, I was able to eat anywhere on the property, use the beach, pool etc Truly grateful!

Pros: Beach cabanas Strong drinks Clean rooms Price point Cons: -Food similar to gas station or microwave meals. Not sure why I’m going to Mexico to eat bad quality pasta and pizza and hot dogs -Staff is so respectful towards Spanish speakers and very impatient and rude towards English speakers -Overcrowding (fully booked bc it’s so cheap) -Pillows and mattresses very uncomfortable

The resort is definitely smaller compared to others and the rooms are more dated than I am used to. Even though the hotel itself is not newly renovated it is placed right on the beach and offers a beautiful view of the ocean. The all inclusive restaurants offer different selections but the food was decent. I do recommend maybe planning on a night or two of eating outside of the resort (dealer’s choice). There are agents that meet you as soon as you check in and try to get you to attend a seminar, we said no a few times and were even approached two times after already declining. The hotel staff were very helpful and nice please do not forget to tip them because they offer a wonderful service! It is a family friendly resort but offers one adult area if that’s what you’re looking for. All in all it’s a quaint experience and is good if you’re looking for something affordable.

The property is small compared to nearby resorts but it was just what my mom and I needed for a weekend getaway. It is clean, the buffet food was really good and the beach is beautiful. We were hanging out in the beach at night and saw 3 big sea turtles come out and start digging to lay their eggs…it was a beautiful experience. The hotel security was on it, they told us not to take pics with flash and explained to us that they will contact local conservationists and have the eggs relocated by the next day. It was amazing to learn and see with our own eyes those Beautiful creatures. Lovely experience. The restaurant was really good too and our servers were really nice.

Flamingo Cancun was very nice, but I will never book with Expedia again in my life. Before booking, I told them about my son, who has special needs. I told them what my basic needs were, and they said everything would be taken care of, but they lied. They also said they would provide vegetarian meals, but when we arrived, the story was something else. If you book through Expedia, be careful. However, Flamingo's staff was very kind and tried to help us in whatever way they could.

Overall, the hotel was fine. Upon arrival, I checked in, and a woman approached me to strike up a conversation. I agreed to listen, but what I didn't like was that she pressured me a bit to accept an offer and set aside time the next day to discuss business. Of course, there is nothing wrong with them doing their job, but my point is that one shouldn't use pressure or speak bad things of others. In my case, I had arranged my itinerary at the airport; the woman who approached me at the hotel told me that the money I spent there was wasted because I had been scammed and no one would show up, which made me a bit worried. However, the next day my guides arrived, and we enjoyed our tours.

The Worst Resort Experience of My Life — Please Read Before Booking I’ve traveled enough to know what to expect from an all‑inclusive, but this resort was a nightmare from the moment we arrived. The rooms smelled like mildew, the beach water smelled like rotten eggs, and the pool wasn’t even safe — someone left a bloody sanitary pad stuffed under the tunnel area. The food was the biggest disappointment. Everything tasted horrible, the options were extremely limited, and if you don’t eat pork, chicken, or red meat, you’re basically stuck. The flies around the food were so bad you needed a fly swatter just to stand near the buffet. Even the “brick oven pizza” was half‑cooked and doughy. The resort charged us for dirty towels, and I had to dig my wristband out of the trash because they charge you if they don’t cut it off themselves. The WiFi barely worked, the water in the room smelled like sulfur, and brushing our teeth required bottled water. The worst part? The lack of cleanliness and respect for guests. A couple was practically having sex in the lobby, and the woman left period blood on a white chair. The next day, instead of cleaning it, the staff just flipped the chair over. We paid for all‑inclusive, yet ended up taking a bus to the supermarket because the food was so bad. The entertainment was nonexistent, the TV was only in Spanish, and no one spoke English enough to help. This resort deserves zero stars. It was dirty, misleading, and unsafe.
