The hotel was quiet, the lobby nicely decorated and clean. Our room was tiny, you could barely walk between the bed and desk. Housekeeping doesn't appear to look under the bed because we found an old water bottle covered in dust and something that looked like a strangely shaped toothbrush under our bed. Despite asking for a late check out and being granted this, housekeeping was banging on our door minutes after 11am and the front lobby called to ask why we hadn't checked out. Clearly a lack of communication.

Beautiful rooms that were very clean.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and had no problems. The stay this time I wasn’t impressed! I booked two rooms and it was great they were beside each other , my husband and I stayed in one and my daughter and her friend stayed in the other one. Unfortunately it went downhill from there, my husband and I came back after dinner and my daughter and her friend went out after and returning they find out their keys didn’t work and they were told they had to leave and couldn’t get their things because they weren’t to be in that room? They told them we had two rooms booked and those were the keys the was given to them. They argued with them and wanted them to pay for another room… finally after awhile they finally gave them a room down the hall. They didn’t wake us up but I found out about it in the morning and wasn’t impressed. In the morning checking out I mentioned it to the staff and they didn’t care told me to email the hotel. I won’t be staying there again.

The room was very clean, so I have no real complaint there; however, the morning was not a pleasant experience. On going down to see what coffee, or breakfast treats might be available, the individual servicing that area was basically rude, condescending and arrogant beyond belief. In many motels of this type, some complimentary breakfast items are offered up. This is very common in many places we have stayed - especially when we are paying over $300 for a room that is anything but luxurious. Now that there wasn't was not the issue, it was the individual manning the breakfast area. The attendant spoke rudely to my sister when she asked what was available. And then, there was a French couple behind us who asked - very politely in english - if the gentleman spoke French by any chance. His response was, "no, I'm Greek, do you speak Greek?". Polite, respectful service should be the halmark of any hotel or motel, the Strata came up short.

Overall good for a short stay. Not a lot of amenities. Breakfast was available for purchase but we didnt find it a good value for money. However, the area around the hotel has some good food chains so it was not an issue.

Nice hotel in a quiet area of town. All you need really. Really liked it.

For the price you can’t complain, however sheets are awful so be sure to bring your own.

The room was spotless and clean, staff were pleasant and helpful. Bed comfort was 6 and out 10, shower felt cramped as I had to bend down to get under shower head (I am a little under six feet tall). Given the cleanliness of room and pleasant staff, I would consider staying here again.

A Practical and Comfortable Choice in Kingston The Strata Hotel is certainly not a luxury property, but it does what a good roadside hotel should do—and does it well. Our renovated room was comfortable, clean and free of any housekeeping issues. The air conditioning worked very well, and aside from a few loud conversations in the hallway early in the evening, the hotel was pleasantly quiet and provided a good night’s sleep. The location is practical rather than picturesque. It is not downtown, but sits conveniently about halfway between Highway 401 and the city centre, making it a sensible base for travelers passing through Kingston or spending a day or two exploring the area. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy, and the staff were efficient and friendly. There is a small snack bar, though few other food or hotel amenities. Parking is plentiful, with some covered spaces available. With hotel prices generally high this year, the Strata offered reasonable value. Everything was comfortably good enough—which, for a short stay, is often exactly what is needed. A practical choice for road travelers, business guests and families. We would stay here again.

Very clean rooms, lots of parking,

The room itself a was very clean and everything was organized and spacious. The things that weren’t enjoyable were: 1) The beds. They were not comfortable at all. 2) The towels were all very small. Almost impossible to dry off after a shower. 3) The shower and bathroom were very slippery. Having to step into and out of the shower was a risk.

Staff were very helpful. We traveled with my elderly grandparents, and the front desk directed us to the elevator, and mentioned it goes right down to the underground parking. TVs have chromecast, it was a great feature. As we were still catching up on some shows. Beds felt great. Hotel has been updated, few little details left out, but not a big deal. There is underground parking which is convenient. Would stay here again on my next visit to Kingston.

The king room was huge, with a really big, double sink bathroom. I liked being able to easily cast my different streaming channels from my phone onto a nice size television. Hotel is very convenient to downtown.
