I arrived at the hotel too early, so I decided to leave my luggage first then I went to look for lunch while waiting for check-in time. When I returned from lunch then I checked in and collected my luggage. Then I took the elevator to my room and when I was about to collect the items in my luggage I saw that my luggage was partially open and some of my items were missing. Then I complained to the hotel but only got an apology. So according to my experience, always check your luggage when you pick it up from the hotel.
