My sister and I stayed at the Tonquin for a ski weekend at Marmot, and it had been quite a while since my last visit. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming.
Because the hotel is an older building, the walls are quite thin, so I’d recommend bringing earplugs—especially if you’re staying during a busy weekend. It may have been louder than usual during our stay because there was a minor hockey tournament in town.
Our room was also extremely warm the first night, even though the heat wasn’t on. The next day, we opened a window, which helped bring the temperature down to a more comfortable level.
Overall, it was a decent stay with a few quirks to be aware of!
