Spacious family room. Smart decor in the room. Public spaces could do with updating the decor. Friendly staff. Great location close to the centre of Harrogate

Staff were super friendly, a close walk to Harrogate centre for the theatre and restaurants. Plenty of parking, rooms are really comfortable and bathroom facilities are great. This was a business trip, but would stay again for local events. Highly recommended.

Location was ideal for visiting Harrogate town centre, and parking was plentiful. Overall property was clean and comfortable, but could do with a bit of TLC / updating. Wallpaper in the corridor next to room 237 was hanging off and some areas need freshening up with a repaint. We chose to have an evening meal in the restaurant, which was advertised as ‘Carvery style’, however, probably due to it not being busy, our order was taken at the table, which wasn’t particularly a problem. One of us chose the roast turkey and the other had lamb shank, but we did feel the choice of vegetables was very limited given it was advertised as ‘carvery style’ … we were offered sauté potatoes, butternut squash and cabbage, which left the turkey dinner looking rather bland, and we felt that there was too much meat in comparison to the amount of vegetables provided. The breakfast offered had plenty of variety (both hot and cold), and was generally very good, except the fried eggs which were not freshly cooked, and having been on a covered hot plate, were disappointingly hard. All of the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was lovely and quiet during our stay, so we enjoyed a restful stay. We also felt the price including breakfast was very reasonable, and would definitely stay there again.

Saw some dogs, dirty things, loved staying there, have been before and will go again.

Location is fantastic.Ample iof car parking and welcoming staff. Walking distance major attractions mainly the Convention centre and the high street which has ample of places to dine,

The room was clean and the beds very comfortable.

The entire building is tired and not up to standard for a hotel. The walls between room s are paper thin-you can hear everything! When a door closes the room shakes. Wood work is chipped, ceilings cracked. The mattress are really firm, we both woke up with painful joints. The phone in our room wasn’t plugged in and we couldn’t find the cable when we had a problem at 1am! The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and warm. Shower pressure was good and no issues with hot water. Breakfast -food was ok but simple things like sugar, was not on the table, had to walk across the dining room to fetch it from the dining table. Car park spaces are tiny, I climbed out the passenger door. Overall,the lovely staff are not enough to counter the drab and tired amenities. I would not visit again.
