Chambre très petite, toilette minuscule.

Reception Staff is outstanding, beyond kind and helpful, especially the amazing Fatima Z and the lovely Lucile. Building on the outside is beautiful, location and view are great HOWEVER the inside is beyond dated, the carpet in common areas stinks, is soiled with suspicious stains including what looked like a recent dog accident and the decor in the rooms gave off Shining vibes, so dated it felt creepy. Carpet is so old they overcompensate with air freshener which adds a sickening chemical smell to the stale, old carpet stench. Honestly it is shameful of Accor not to take better care of the Fairmont brand by not refreshing properties as it really, really hurts the equity and reputation of the whole portfolio. Breakfast staff was lovely but again food was disgusting. Cheese that tasted (or rather didn’t have any taste) like sliced rubber, lowest possible quality food dripping with grease, even the bread was bad and plastic-like. Very disappointing.

Stunning property in the middle of beautiful Charlevoix region. Beautiful room, lovely terrasse and splendid dinner at Saint Laurent restaurant. Food, service, wine all exactly as expected at a Fairmont Hotel. Evening Staff at Bar La Brise were at best uninterested, in a hurry to leave and would not even be bothered to acknowledge when we sat down. Not at all in line with the afternoon bar staff. Car valet did not help with anything: only their manager did and he was most helpful. Otherwise loved our stay and highly recommend.

That's a nice property with a nice view.Although we had rain and clouds, we still got to play golf and enjoyed the view.

Très déçue qu'un hôtel 5 étoiles ne propose pas de service en chambre, surtout qu'il n'y a rien à manger à proximité. L'hôtel est très grand et peut accueillir de nombreux clients, mais la piscine est petite.

Make sure to book a room with a view. I didn’t and ended up on the first floor with the view of the rooftop on which I could observed a snow blower machine (it was in July).

Merveilleux séjour avec mon fils de 17 ans .. endroit paradisiaque et plein d’activités et de service à proximité. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter !

For the price and from being a multiple Fairmont resorts guests, we were not overly impressed with the cleaning in the room. The windows were so dirty inside we had to wash them however we could, being it was a St-Laurence view. Hard to take photos when kids “washed” the windows with what appeared to be juice or something sticky. The bar at the pool was painfully slow to get a drink! One person preparing the food, one some kind of a manager entering the order and making you pay while one guy was slow as molasses making drinks. We just gave up after our first round and the girl ahead ordered 3 drinks ahead of us. Beautiful setting, nice grounds, like the idea of bonfires in the middle but sort of sucks when the smoke comes in the room. We would stay again, would love to try the spa. Looked amazing. The brunch buffet is a bit steep at $42. I would not do that again for the price.

Great place, fun with little children

Le plus beau c’est la vue spectaculaire sur le fleuve. Il manquait de personnel, l’hotel n’est plus ce qu’elle etait. Lit super inconfortable, nous n’avons pas eu la chambre que nous avions choisi et payer… Les employes sont en sous effectif surtout dans les restaurants, ils s’excuses, mais il y a beaucoup d’attente et d’erreurs. Bref, souhaitons que l’hotel change de proprietaire et qu’elle redevienne la superbe hotel quelle etait il y a bien longtemps

Despite the incredible views of the St. Lawrence, the friendly service, the historic architecture, proximity to trails for walking and cycling, we felt that the hotel was overrated including the food. Our room was tiny, several lights damaged, and quite musty. The service we experienced from the restaurant and bar staff were good and it seemed all run by teens. The gentlemen working the concierge was knowledgeable and helpful in learning about the whale watching tour which is the primary reason for coming to the area. Be warned that parking is a challenge unless you opt for the paid parking garage with no in/out privileges. One thing that tainted our stay was a wedding that was being set up that hijacked much of the grounds facing the river and obscured views for dinner guests in the restaurant and bar area. Be also prepared for a long check in process.

Pour ma part ces loin de ce que le prix devrait offrir tout etait pire que dans n’importe quel hôtel très déçu et surtout du prix du déjeuner

Les chambres sont plus que vieillottes, l’hôtel vit sur sa reputation et ne fait plus d’efforts depuis des années. Personnels très sympathiques.

La seul raison que je m’étala côté moyen, c’est pour avoir été réveillé par le personnel de ménage à 8:15 et le temps d’attente pour l’enregistrement Sinon toute étais parfait
