The Chateau is lovely, with some nice grounds and a swimming pool too. It is a little run down and outdated, most of the furnishings are quite cheap; in some areas comparable to a premier inn and not ‘luxury’. It would have been nice to see furnishings to match the style and period of the castle. Our ‘comfort room’ on the top floor was tiny, and the price didn’t feel justified despite being ‘in the castle’. Nice pool and nice bar downstairs. The main redeeming quality was that the dinner was absolutely sublime. (Dinner table must be booked in advance) We almost didn’t eat at the restaurant as we felt disappointed by our room however we’re so glad we did. The quality of the food for just 35€pp was fantastic. Breakfast the following morning fine, a continental style buffet. Would have liked to see some hot dishes on the menu to match the night before however appreciate it’s not always feasible. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, in particular all of the dining staff. Ideal location for Le Shuttle.
