Great location

Small room. Stuffy. Tiny bathroom. Shower wouldn’t drain.

The staff were kind and helpful. The facility could use some updating specially the restroom and air-conditioning would be nice. The telephone did not work in our room.

Great location, very clean and staff friendly and helpful, pillows and beds very soft not enough support for a good night sleep if you have back or hip issues, room was nice with a beautiful view, restaurant had good food and service. Overall would stay here again but ask for extra bed pad to make a little firmer.

Super location in Athlone, received an upgrade to a suite with a fine view too! Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Great idea to reward eco-awareness to not have towels refreshed every day but I never got to use my voucher. The bar/restaurant deal was a bit confusing as I wasn’t aware that everything was all served in what appeared to be the restaurant. A separate bar for drinks and chatting would have been nice. The staff were super-friendly so I probably should have asked! Still loved my stay there and look forward to coming back.

Unable to control the weather (very hot!) but brought fans up immediately made it better!

Clean and comfy room . Receptionist is very friendly. We are not happy with Amenities like pool, sauna and steam room (stinky) even changing area needs improvement. Food was ok. Old lady at the breakfast restaurant need to be more approachable and friendly,

The stay was vary good and the staff was awsome

The Radison Blu was a very upscale hotel sitting right on the River Shannon in Atlone. A short walk across bridge to Castle & old town. The room was quiet, clean & well appointed . We appreciated them being able to allow us early check in. The Double overlooking the River was quite large & the bathroom very updated. While it is supposed to have air conditioning, it is controlled centrally and only turned on at the facility discretion. Our room was quite warm & when I called about it, I was offered a fan. I did find that the windows opened which also offered some relief. The other thing I disliked was that WiFi was unsecured. In this age, security is paramount and I feel any WiFi offered should be password secured. They have a quite elaborate leisure center included in stat which includes use of bicycles. The gentleman running that was very friendly & helpful.

Great location , clean and quiet during our stay. Rooms were reasonably well fitted.

We had a great 1-night stay here. The staff was very friendly, the location was fabulous, and the room was very comfortable.

Beds were comfy, and it was a nice and quiet stay. Great location. The included breakfast was good.

Perfect location, room with view of the Shannon, all good. Only disapointment was the too soft and lumpy mattress.... not a good nights sleep.

Excellent hotel. Staff were great. Only small issue was no residents bar so we were asked to leave bar at 11.30 and move to reception area.
