Great .. breakfast can be better

Very nice hotel in nice walkable area close To many attractions. Don't know about breakfast as we didn't try it. Later if it is Summer you might want to spend a few days on the beach at a different location

First point to make...it just doesn't look like or feel like 5* hotel. Hence felt a let down. However it doesn't mean the hotel is bad. It's very good indeed, just missing expected facilities like a proper pool. Pool is essentially a large jacuzzi. Location of the hotel is brilliant though, it is great for walk in the city. Great restaurants around, good bars and clubs too. Very good staff too. Very friendly. I got a free upgrade too, though my friend didn't. Rooms are fine too Greatest let down, infact scarily too is the restaurant. They have a good looking tasting menu, but we're told that we needed to ask for it in advance of few hours. Was never mentioned before, pretty strange too. Next we ordered from the dinner menu. Starters were fine. Main course was dangerously poor. Ordered lamb but it was with hair and it seemed like the server knew it. He took it away immediately, it really annoyed me that I was served food that was known to be bad. I was offered duck as a replacement. That was even worse, it came grossly undercooked, it was rwa and red inside and with blood oozing out. So, recommend not to try the restaurant, if you want to stay safe. Many good restaurants in walkable distance anyway.

The hotel was conveniently located 5 minutes walk from a metro station. Great looking building, staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast fantastic with lots of hot and cold options and even a cook to order menu. An unexpected bonus was a free hour per day in the spa area to use the sauna and steam room.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hotel Hospes Palau De La Mar. From the moment we walked through its stunning doors, we knew our stay would be an extraordinary one, and it was! Front desk staff members were outstanding, so kind and helpful. The room was gorgeous, peaceful, and quiet! High praise for the housekeeping team. We didn’t opt for breakfast every morning at the hotel but did enjoy it on an ad hoc basis. It was delicious, with a vast selection of beautiful foods, set in the hotel’s wonderful Ampar restaurant. The spa/gym facilities were perfect! The pool room downstairs hosts a warm and therapeutic compact pool with brilliant water jets, as well as a steam room and sauna. My children were also allowed to enjoy the pool, which was a real bonus. The area is just stunning! The metro station Alameda is located just within the Turia Gardens park, right near the hotel. You’re also within walking distance of the beautiful Colon market where coffees, Orxata, and pastries await! There are so many fabulous restaurants and cafes around. As far as location goes, it’s heaven and you’re really spoiled for choice. My two kids (8 and 12) and I walked everywhere, using the Turia gardens as our most traveled pathway. The hotel’s location made exploring this glorious city so easy and such a joy! We had an utterly brilliant time!
