Beautiful venue, food excellent!

The hotel has nice surroundings and fancy decor in the reception and restaurants. However, the room decor is dated and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The main issue for me was the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly when I checked in. The guy on reception was very friendly though and told me housekeeping would fix it. The breakfast was nice.

Everything was nice, ate in the bar which was also a nice casual dining experience, TV didn't work in a room which is unforuntate as we had a child with us.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Came here for 1 night as a girly weekend and we were so impressed with all facilities we are already planning a return visit! Staff ever so helpful, polite and genuinely lovely people! Beds sooo comfy! And the food was just amazing! Thankyou for making our weekend stay so fantastic!

It was fine, except from the cluster of dust / mould behind the wardrobe. Hopefully, this will be checked and cleaned in all rooms. We only realised in the morning as we were leaving.

The place was lovely really enjoyed our stay there

The hotel room had no a/c and was the temperature of a volcano. It also lacked in plugs especially by the beds. Can’t charge your phone at your beside side unless you take the lamps out of action. The shower was either boiling hot or cold from one to the other or just cold no warm water at all. Very nice views over the golf course and the service was 100%. The staff couldn’t do enough for you.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time at Windmill Village Hotel, Golf & Spa for the most part. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. After checking in, my wife and I went to our room which initially was very inviting but after unpacking we soon realised that there were only two sockets above a bedside cabinet, only one of which was working. The room offered coffee and tea making facilities which would have required moving the kettle and boiling it on said bedside cabinet. After mentioning this to a member of staff at reception we were given another room and I'm happy to say that it had four working sockets 😁. The spa facilities were great and all areas were clean. A very good size pool and gym. The sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were of a good size too. When we were in the bathroom getting ourselves ready on the last day of our stay, Sunday, to our surprise we found an army of ants crawling around the basin and on our toiletries. Not the sight with which we expected to be greeted. We had to move our toiletries into the bedroom after shaking the ants off them. On our last morning which was on a Sunday we visited the spa to use the facilities as on the two previous days only to be told that they had run out of towels and that their next delivery of fresh towels would be on the coming Tuesday. The staff member suggested that we should either go to our room and use our towels from there or ask a member of staff at the hotel reception to give us two towels.

Very nice hotel

We had little problems there was no Hot water so the manager moved us to one of their other Hotel and gave free breakfast. They did everything to help thank you Logan Guy and James

The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Room we stayed in definitely needs an upgrade. Uneven mattress, carpet needs changing and furniture is very stained and old. Bar area, golf course and the swimming pool was great. Staff service was questionable at times - spa didn’t have towels or padlocks for the lockers, you’d expect that sort of stuff to be provided or made very clear on there website or when booking. To buy a padlock it would be a 10 minute drive away! Won’t be staying here again.

Staff all very good. Food in restaurant good. Breakfast OK. Drinks a little expensive. Room average, quite dated but bed comfy and shower ok.

The property area is quiet; place is very well maintained. However, the name is misleading because they don't even allow people to visit part of the golf area.

Great hotel friendly staff

We have stayed at the Windmill many times and it is reasonable value for short stays. However lately its age is showing and is looking tired. This trip was disappointing as our room had only one towel, one cup etc. we asked for more towels and were told they would try to get some but there were no staff. After an hour we went to front desk but were told they didn’t have them. Thankfully they were in our room when we got back that evening. Good breakfast, easy parking and great for golf.
