A single night stay did check in till 8 in the evening so didn’t see much of hotel. Had My cocker spaniel with me, slight charge for pets but lovely nights sleep.

Nice staff, for me working, , not so good. For people that have time to enjoy, a recommended stay.

Food was good, beds were uncomfortable, rooms hot and stuffy and bedside table wobbly.

The room did not look well maintained with moths by the windows There were holes in the curtains The bathroom had smudges and marks on the walls from previous users really uncomfortable for myself and my partner.

Being able to take my little support dog with me on this trip meant everything to me and the Mercure hotel couldn’t have been better . Room was great with spacious beds , teas ,coffee ,biscuits , a hairdryer , iron and board , a bath and a shower ! The staff were lovely especially at breakfast and we d like to Thankyou all so much and look forward to coming again sometime this year 😊❤️

Safe in room was not working, reported to receptionist who stated that maintenance would fix the following morning. This did not happen, safe still not working 2nd evening. Tv in room had European language channels and lesser known English terrestrial channels, but none of the main channels such as BBC, ITV, Ch4 or Skynews. BBC news was however on the large screen in reception.

Clean room, great attentive staff

We were there to visit the boat show so were only there for breakfast which was fabulous, and evening meal which was limited, although adequate. Over all a good experience and will stay again.

Food was good, maintenance of the room was poor, needs attention to detail - sink plug stuck in place obviously not reported by cleaning staff

Parking was easy , staff were vey helpful and professional, also polite , rooms very spacious and had everything required, breakfast was very good, really enjoyed our trip

Hotel is need of refurbishment, especially in the rooms. Furniture was damaged in places and my bathroom door was also damaged. It’s not a hotel that I’d look at returning too. Staff were friendly Ian’s helpful when required.

This was our third consecutive stay—and our last. Based on our repeated experience, we can confidently say that the rooms feel dated, with very basic and worn bathrooms. While the staff is generally polite, the bar and restaurant offer a very limited menu, and the quality is mediocre.

Everything was fine, just one complaint the phone wasn’t working in room. There wasn’t an information booklet in room. It’s good to know what time breakfast starts and finishes. Then no working phone

Its a nice hotel with good size room staff help. Its a cab ride into town centre. (6 minutes £8) or bus ride a little longer D6 every hour.

Great team, comfortable and clean room. Always stay at Mercure Daventry whenever I am working in the area

Gym facilities are very poor and there is an additional charge of £10 for using the pool. Large queues to order food at the bar. Just not worth the additional £40 per night. Stay at the Staverton Park instead.
