Staying at Second Home Peru was an unforgettable experience. The house itself is a vibrant sanctuary, filled with colorful artwork and striking sculptures by the renowned Victor Delfín. Every corner feels alive with creativity, and the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean make it even more magical. Lilian is a welcoming hostess—warm, attentive, and always ready to help. Her hospitality made the stay feel personal and special. The location in Barranco couldn’t be more perfect. It’s within walking distance of excellent restaurants, cozy cafés, and streets adorned with murals. Iconic spots like La Santissima Cruz de Barranco Church and the Bridge of Sighs are just steps away, adding to the neighborhood’s charm and lively vibe. Second Home Peru is not just a place to stay—it’s an immersion into art, culture, and the soul of Lima. Highly recommended for anyone seeking beauty, inspiration, and genuine hospitality.

Once again my wife and I had a great time at our original meeting place (16 years ago!)....Great view of ocean over our perch on the cliff....Great breakfast with coffee, breads and fresh fruits....Staff was super attentive and bent over backwards to accommodate us... Such a great grounds and architecture, even got to swim in the "Puma Head" Pool! Will definitely come back again.

Beach view was excellent. Really neat place to stay and learn about the artist Victor Delfin. We got pleasantly surprised by the included breakfast. Staff made themselves available to check us out and order a taxi at 3am. The area it is in is very walkable. Highly recommend.

the reception desk was especially helpful….we had misplaced a few items around the building….he found them and keep them secure until we could collect them. This small hotel , in a grand ole house , is very cozy. Overlooking the Pacific from a high bluff in bohemian Barraco….sunsets are spectacular. In addition to a good video security system and behind a massive artist iron door at the street….roaming cats keep guard and provide a sense of calm. A Peruvian living legend artist fabricated the metal work thought the house and grounds. In addition…. his large paintings documenting various experiences of his life are everywhere. You are essentially spending time in an art gallery. It might be possible to visit with him in his studio next door.

The location was absolutely perfect, the view amazing, and the buildings had a ton of character. Don’t expect luxury amenities and be aware that there is noise from the highway below. Despite this we loved the Peruvian feel of the accommodations and the lovely staff. In our room, we had to go up a set of stairs to the bathroom so be careful if you have mobility impairment.

Second Home Peru is a unique hotel full of original artwork, with wonderful sea views and charming staff. The location could not be better, on a quiet alley in the heart of the charming Barranco neighborhood. Easy access to many restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and the beach.

I enjoyed my stay at second home. Beautiful art gallery/boutique hotel. Mr. Louis is a great host. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Great balcony view for watching the sunset. Comfy bed. Decent wifi. The breakfast was good. Only issue is the hot water was a bit hit and miss, especially in the morning. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend

This is a very special bed-and-breakfast. Fabulous grounds with a view of the Pacific. The main house is filled with interesting artwork, by the owner who is a renowned artist and the staff couldn’t be nicer. We will definitely return.
