Lovely hotel very friendly receptionist, friendly and helpful staff in general. Lovely restaurant but quality of the meal not up to same standards as the rest of the hotel.

I absolutely love this property! The breakfast service was good, but it seems we were overlooked and waited for 30 minutes for them to take our order. But overall, lovely! I definitely recommend staying here. You can walk to Nairn Beach, and pet the highland cows. ☺️

If you are looking for a basic but clean place to stay, this is it. Don’t expect a North American standard 4 star hotel. We are travelling the area for some time, so we wanted to be budget conscious. The town of Nairn is really beautiful. The staff are all young and sometimes hard to get ahold of but you knew you could just go find them and they would help. Everyone was really kind. Only downside is there is not ventilation in the bathrooms or in the room at all but you could open a window if you want air flow. Wouldn’t recommend you eat at the restaurant, at all. It was expensive and very subpar, but the bar area was cute. Lots of places to eat around town. Would recommend Bandstand and Sundancer.

A good quiet place to land with a walk to the beach

Nice property with their very own highland coos. Room was simple, but bed mattress had seen better days. Like sleeping on springs. Easy walk to the beach. Two dining options with reasonable selections. Got scammed by Expedia when I need to cut off a day, so basically I paid for no one to be there.

The Lady at the Front desk was excellent! The wait staff at breakfast were also top notch. Breakfast was very good. Parking was tough. We had to park in the woods, unpaved, unmarked spaces that were soggy and dark. The hall light that shone on our door was out. we were there three days and the light was not addressed. We had to use our cell phone to see the lock on our door. The room was comfortable and the views from the window were nice. Our bathroom needed work. The grout between the floor tiles was a mess. There was something dark on the grout in the shower. The heated floor never got warm. The sink was cracked nearly in half.

This place had its glory days in the past, but it is now very run down, unfortunately. If you are mainly planning activities in Inverness consider that it is located about 25-30 minutes from downtown by car. There is no easy public transportation to Inverness.

Property was clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Room size while dated and a bit musty smelling was a good size.

Beautiful hotel, love convenience.

Beautiful hotel in wooded setting. We stayed in the courtyard room outside of main hotel. Very quiet. We added breakfast which was very nice & convenient in the lovely dining room. Only issue was the bed comfort. There were “straps” joining the mattress to make it a larger size but no mattress cover which was quite uncomfortable. Our request for a mattress cover & top sheet be added was done before bed. Duvets are nice but very warm so top sheet was perfect.

Pretty setting, nice lobby and dining areas. Byt difficult to get to. Not exceptional service. No one to help me with my broken suitcase. No hair dryer. Spotty hot wayer.

The hotel is clean and comfortable but the food was ordinary and expensive. My advice is to sleep here but eat out.

Beautiful property, in need of a bit of renovation, e.g. new carpets. But who cares? The majestic building, the lovely grounds. Excellent food at the restaurant.

In need of serious tic. broken doors to the shower, cracked wash hand basin, torn bath mat, torn curtain. Need I say more about our bed room. Grass growing out of the gutters resulting in choked down pipes. Stayed there for 4 nights and main toilets next to the lounge out of action all the time. This hotel needs a total revamp and is certainly not 4 star. Won’t be going there again.

Bed great. Shower so-so. No shower, get in bathtub for shower. No grab bars--a must for older visitors. No coffee making apparatus in room. Breakfast NOT included in price. Mostly though, it is an old building and, while clean, it has that old building musty wet smell. Big time. Everything a bit wet and sticky to the touch. But, it was a bed on short notice. Would look for alternatives a bit more aggressively in the future.
