Difficulty in checking in after hours. Instructions were confusing and no one was reachable by phone. After managing to check in, the room was not set up for 2 single beds that had been booked. Spoke to staff next morning & they were very helpful in upgrading us to a beautiful suite

Great location, close to everything, pool was good, albeit it was low season but having 4 of them meant you probably always get a lounge no matter what time of year it is! Spa in the room is a great touch, although loud, it was comfortable. Room wasn’t spotless on arrival, bathroom had a slight odour but that is expected with all the humidity and a fan that could use a proper clean up! Bed was comfortable, air con was great, fridge was very cold, froze a few beers so had to be adjusted, water pressure was great. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is lovely the pool and barbecue area are outstanding. Beds are comfortable everything worked as it should. I will highly recommend!

Great hotel in prime location with parking. Huge room with balcony that enjoy. Pools. So many pools!!

There were some minor maintenance issues, which were remedied immediately. The staff were friendly and the location is perfect, as shopping, dining, coffee spots are literally around the corner! The cleanliness of the rooms was good with room for some improvement - although this was not enough to marr the experience in any way :)

Just a nice relaxing place to stay. Staff we're very professional. Room maybe a little smaller than I expected but very comfortable.

This is our second time in a swim out room and we love it. The pool access is a bonus, proximity to town, the marina and the beach is also a plus for us. Easy to walk everywhere means we didn’t need a car for the time we were there.

We have stayed here twice now and both times excellent. Wedding Anniversary this time and they upgraded our room along with a bottle of wine which was very much appreciated. Everything is easily in walking distance, large pools, quiet and safe and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.

Stay at Matra Aqueous was excellent. It is in a great location, close to beach and main township area of Port Douglas. The pools are great, though would be nice if one was heated. Only disappointment was that only two coffee pods are provided per stay, and when I asked for more the charge was $12!

We’ve always loved this place. It is consistently well presented. We recommend a swim out apartment on ground floor.

Amazing location and staff. Rooms are bit hot and miss as some rooms need refurbishing asap. Thomas the manager was super helpful and displayed great customer service. I travelled with my 5 year old daughter who loved the swim out pool.
