Excellent historic building with beautiful grounds and original features. Fantastic restaurant and bar rear of complex open to the public too. Highly recommended

Very warm so air conditioning in the rooms would be good

Outside of the building looks grand and staffs are friendly. However, the room is small & bathroom is even smaller. Your leg can easily burn by the towel rail when you sit on the toilet. The elbows constantly either hit the shower door or the control switch. That’s how small it is. There is no direct access to the breakfast restaurant from the hotel because it’s in a out building. There is a bar in the hotel but probably only used for the wedding party. Overall is a good wedding venue but it’s not good value for a tourist in my opinion. For a small basic room like this you can paid £50 less somewhere nearby and will have a fridge in the room.

The hotel was lovely and old. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had an issue with no hot water, however the management did their very best to accommodate the problem asap and apologetic. The food in the stable restaurant was yum! Overall, a great stay.

We were less happy with the room on this occasion, dark sombre furniture, a dusty desk and no view. There was a spacious modernized bath & shower room however. There is a lift for rooms at the front and some stairs for rooms at the back so an odd mix of different levels. Splendid parkland very well maintained. We enjoyed the "Greek night" and the breakfast was equally good so happy with the food and service.

Fabulous big room, we were upgraded and was a treat for our wedding night so we were absolutely delighted. Spotlessly clean, massive comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water for the jacuzzi bath, soft fluffy towels. Everything was first class.

Beautiful building, beautiful surroundings, amazing staff and food was delicious well recommend a stay here.

I had one of the two suites. Very spacious and grand room. Staff on check in were very nice and helpful.

Excellent large comfortable room. Clean and spacious bathroom with double jacuzzi. Restaurant excellent - breakfast delicious and evening meal outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in our group.

Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Hotel was beautiful, old manor/lords house converted to a great hotel and restaurant.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent and nothing was a bother for them. Very chatty and informative about the area.

A warm welcome met us and a lovely meal in The Stables. Attentive service and really tasty food. The room was clean with really comfortable bed and fluffy duvet.

This was our second stay at Beamish, as expected the room was a good size, as we upgraded again. We always enjoy our visits to the North East and you can not fault the staff and the food at breakfast and dinner. All staff are very friendly and helpful. The main reason for our visit was to visit Beamish Open Air Museum again and on this occasion to visit the Light Trail, which is just located at the side of the Hotel. Final note on parking, there are plenty of spaces and EV charge points unfortunately, they are MER points and the cost per KWh was a little on the high side compared to others I used during our tour around.
