Our experience at Sherwood Inn was fantastic! We had breakfast only 1 morning, it was plentiful with lots of variety. Staff is exceptional! Our room was comfortable but dated. They charge $65 plus tax for our dog for “extra cleaning fee” but it didn’t look like the carpets had been deep cleaned in while so not sure what the extra cleaning fee is for. In the winter rooms would benefit from a shoe/boot tray so we aren’t leaving wet boots on the carpet. Other than that we will definitely be back!

Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Great place for family gatherings. The staff accommodated 17 of us for dinner at a short notice, in a private room. Dinner was excellent.

Great stay as always at Sherwood. I do miss the firewood fireplaces in the rooms though.

Beautiful and cozy!

Staff were lovely from reception to dining and lounge. My room and bathroom were spacious with a good bed and I loved the fireplace. I took care of myself for breakfast as I was there to rest but enjoyed dinner both evenings very much. My view over the lake was magical especially as it decided to snow. Kudos to the grounds people for doing such a great job of clearing snow and salting the walkways really well.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. However, our room was a little 'tired' but that may have been reflected in the room-rate. The site is absolutely beautiful.

We love the Sherwood Inn. Its our favorite treat and getaway spot when we are traveling in the area. Nice rooms, quiet and lovely outdoor area. When we leave we always wish we could stay longer. Thanks team!

The setting was magical with spectacular fall colours and sunset. Dinner in the dining room was delicious. Very attentive staff

Great views from the balcony

We loved this resort! Our family stayed there during Thanksgiving week in the fall. The view from the balcony was amazing, and waking up to the iconic Muskoka landscape was awesome. Clean room. The breakfast buffet was always fresh, and the amenities and activities were super convenient. Big thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, from the front desk to maintenance and the restaurant/bar lounge. Much enjoyed our dinner and their Spanish coffee. A short drive to various attractions in Muskoka. We'll definitely stay there again.

Lovely little resort. A bit outdated, the beds were a bit stiff, and the restaurant a little overpriced. But overall it was quite nice and I'd probably stay here again.

It was amazing experience.

I had a great time at Sherwood Inn. My spa experience was exceptional. I had a facial with back massage by Abby and she was fantastic and very professional. My only complaint was the walls were paper thin and the room was noisy. I also felt the prices in the restaurant were high. Impressed with the water front and free use of the canoes and kayaks.

Very quite and calm place

My wife and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary here and will want to come back. This is a Perfect Muskoka property and location for a comfortable couples getaway. The facility has a great restaurant and pub/bar if you just want to stay and relax vs driving to town. If you do want to drive to town it’s a short 5-10 min drive to Port Carling.
