Unusual to find such a well appointed place in the country. We had a lovely stay here.

Only one complaint, bed too hard for me. Otherwise great stay!

We have stayed here a number of times and always find it a nice place to stay. The staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms very comfortable.

Property tired but

All is good value. Not the really bad smell has almost gone it is so much better. There was areally sewage smell in the reception area about a month ago. Breakfast good value. We will stay again. Getting better.

Only downside was the room very hot as couldn’t turn off the radiator even though the window was open

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms dated but clean. Bathroom needed an upgrade. Mattress/pillows not the comfiest which was a shame. Room doors slam so need to be mindful when closing. Dinner menu basic but suited us and food was good. Good choice for breakfast and this was also good. Limited bar on offer. Despite comments, overall a pleasant stay.

On arrival day, no lunch available which is fine but the young woman on reception just told us she could not offer recommendations of where to eat: ‘I don’t come from this area’.

Lovely secluded hotel at a very reasonable price. Nice spacious room. Front desk staff were very friendly

Friendly and efficient staff, decor a little tired but room spotlessly clean and quiet, excellent breakfast. Would definitely stay at this reasonably priced hotel again if in the area.

Affordable, comfortable, quiet, not a busy hotel, need transport to stay here. Older decoration but still reasonable.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a nice clean large room. On the whole very nice hotel only negative was that the drinks in the bar, perhaps a little pricey.

Private, lovely rural situation, hot water, courtesy biscuits, friendly polite staff. Would have liked cans or bottles of Diet Coke rather than Pepsi on draught from the bar. Salad with dinner was minimal, no bread roll… but steak was good, thank you
