Would not consider the Portsmouth Marriott to be a four star hotel.
At check-in, we were informed of a £50 deposit that needed to be paid, which I had not seen listed anywhere when I booked. Not sure if having two children made the receptionist decide to add it on, but felt unnecessary.
The beds were so uncomfortable. My 11 and 5 year old had no complaints but my husband and I both had an awful nights sleep.
Parking is £5, wifi is extra… A lot of money making schemes that I don’t expect from a so-called four star hotel.
Did not eat at the hotel, so unable to comment on food.
