Staff wonderful. Location great. Food fabulous. Room spacious.

Sylvia Hotel is a marvelous location for exploring Stanley Park. The staff is friendly and professional and we totally enjoyed our stay. We look forward to returning!

Great place, not a huge hindrance, but no AC

Excellent location overlooking English Bay. The oldest ivy covered high-rise building in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately there is no parking space for the guests.

Loved this classic hotel and was delighted with my lovely room. Open windows is always appreciated and did not need AC which is not available. Location was excellent with the beach walkway across the street. Everything one needs is within walking distance. Dining on the patio is a nice option when the weather is nice. I definitely want to stay here again!

Great view of English Bay and a comfortable bed.

The room and bed were both lovely. Appreciated handrails in bathroom but prefer not to have to climb into a bathtub for a shower. My stay was very brief no real engagement with staff or other.

The history and location of the Sylvia Hotel make it a very charming venue. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant remains very good. The views are delightful. It always feels like a genuine holiday when I stay at "the Sylvia", even if I'm working. I love being able to walk to Stanley Park, along the English Bay beach and it's all just a block or so from a very diverse cross-section of shops and dining.

Very unique hotel. Beautiful rooms and the restaurant is too notch. They had parking for our big truck which was a bonus!!

Nice staff, clean room.

The Sylvia Hotel is situated on English Bay with the restaurant providing stunning views! Though it's an old, historic building, nearly every modern convenience has been added for comfort, practicality, and safety. There's no air conditioning but the windows in the room do open and a ceiling fan moves the air quite well on warmer days/nights. Our room was right beside the elevator, but we never heard it and other guests were also quiet. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The restaurant is excellent! Menu, quality, flavour, and service were all excellent, and the prices are reasonable. We look forward to the next time we get to stay here!

In the city, next to the beach, and close to Stanley Park. Parking on-site. Dog is welcome. Staff is so friendly and they even up-graded our room to one with a kitchen. Highly recommend.

Restaurant food was superb as well adlocation

The restaurant has a great beach view and the hotel has a nice ambiance. Great place for a weekend.

We really loved every thing about it. We enjoyed the location as well as the restaurant.

This hotel was a gem of a find. I was Leary at first but when we pulled up and entered the doors, you could feel the history. This will be our hotel of choice when we return!!
