Love the atmosphere , location and cleanliness !

This hotel has amazing character, it feels like a slice of history. It has the charm of an older building, but was clean and well maintained. The floors squeak a bit, so if your upstairs neighbours like to walk around, it can get a bit annoying when you are trying to sleep, but the rest of our stay was quiet enough. The breakfast room was a busy place, but was well stocked with banana, apples, oatmeal, granola bars, muffins, croissants, yogurt, juice, tea and coffee. Our room had a fridge, which was helpful with all the leftovers the local restaurants sent us off with! The room was huge! We never did figure out the fireplace. There was a huge jacuzzi tub in our room, and although I'm not usually one for soaking in a strange tub, the hills in St. John's had me in there almost everynight. If you're walking a lot on your vacation, you'll be glad to have it. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. We had a view of the harbour, and so many pubs and restaurants in stumbling distance. I'd definitely stay here again.

Very old building, needs renovation. Breakfast was very limited in choice.

The room was very comfy!! The parking was great and easily accessible to all the attractions in St.Joh’s. Great location! Would highly recommend!!

Staff were great, especially the Manager. Will be good once on-site restaurant is open. Good location.

The hotel could use some new bath towels. One of our towels was frayed on both sides.

The staff were friendly and helpful. While the hotel and rooms were clean, the carpet and floor tiles were worn and threadbare. The location was great, lots of cafes, restaurants, stores very close by. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay, central to the city. The rooms are somewhat dated, but still a very comfortable place to stay.

Hotel was in an excellent location, close to everything in town. Love the parking that was free and that large pickup trucks could fit. The room was great, very comfortable and clean and continental breakfast was good.

The first time we went , we were on the 4th floor. The elevator only went to the 3rd floor! It was a weirdly laid out room. Not very efficient. The second time we went, we were on the first floor, but the shower was visible to guests and vice versa. Odd. The breakfast was ho hum. Cleaning Staff was unfriendly and parking left much to be desired. Would not recommend this place.

Everything we needed including generous surface parking in a great location. A historic property so a little noisier than newer hotels. The free drink offer doesn’t exist anymore but was issued a card for $20 off $50 spend at Jack Astors across the street.

Great location

Spacious room but a bit strange. Lovely deep tub and separate shower. Both with glass walls looking into the bedroom and if the curtains were open, outside. NO privacy at all! Well equipped and comfy bed. The front desk staff, especially Ethan, were great! Helpful recommendations and very friendly. Easy parking, great location. The continental breakfast was pretty weak.
