Had a very pleasant stay, mix up with payment was soon sorted, Only problem we found was that food was always cold, also cold plates didn’t help.

Don't waste your money for this 1-2 stars hotel. I wrote so long review, but the site said some error. If you eat meat and like a grill, you should wait for about 20 min, because they start preparing it when they open the doors for the lunch and dinner. The breakfast was the same for 5 days. The lunch is also the same. I went to the market and buy watermelon and grapes, because in the season of them, they are missed in the menu in this hotel. If you think you will eat gusleme, kunefe or some other Turkish dishes, you have to go to the city and buy it. If you drink espresso coffee, so it is almost mission impossible for this city, not only for this hotel. You will drink only instant coffee. The 2 good things in this hotel are beds and airayn. I read so many reviews before chossing this hotel, but we don't think it will be the worst hotel which we have ever seen and been there. I though, OK it is not 5 stars, but maybe it is 4 or 3 stars, but the hotel is between 1 or 2 stars.

Beautiful swimming pool, friendly staff however the food and drink is letting the hotel down. Food is prepared hours before it is served so is left to go cold. The buffet dining food has a lot of flys on it and is of poor quality, lacking variety. Pool snacks are the same everyday (cold burger and chips or cold chicken). The alcohol is not very good either. There is a barbecue area however when trying the chicken kabab it had been sliced and again left too go cold. Breakfast was probably one of the worst meals. Everything is repetitive from the beginning to the end of the day, food, drink, music and entertainment. The bar opened at 10am and closes at 11pm. Buffet meals are served at specific times. Pool side snacks start at 12:30pm however I was 5 minutes early and asked for chips as I could see the were readily prepared and ready to serve however staff refused to serve me at is was 12:25pm I explained that it was going cold so the management said he would get me a microwave to heat up the fries rather than serve before 12:30pm which I found to be strange as they had to arrange for staff to carry a microwave down to the pool area rather than just had me the food when it was hot. I did have a nice relaxing time here but I would not recommend it stay here again.

Arrived at this hotel waited half an hour to check in, got to the room which was dull and smelt old and of smoke, was shown a further two rooms which where just awful with a strong smell of smoke. I had to check out straight away and book another hotel it was so bad. There were other guests complaining too. I would never set foot in there again.

Really wasn't impressed by this hotel, the food was terrible, really cold and full of flies everywhere. Our room was small with a small double bed and the bathroom was so old and tired - the shower was a dribble and mould and black all between the tiles. One evening tried to get some water and was told it was not available, went to the bar, reception and the restaurant and they had either run out or wouldn't give us a bottle - ended up having to buy it. Crazy when the alcohol is free but water isn't!!!! We left after 3 days even though we had a 12 day booking, really couldn't stay there - and I'm not particularly fussy!!!

The food was generally good in the restaurant but very noisy, there was always a good variety. The snack bar food was not so good and always the same. we booked a sea view room which was definitely worth it.

The hotel is OK for a cheap A.I holiday, the food as with most Turkish hotels varies from day to day with some delicious food on occasion but mostly only just edible in my view. Drinks are cheap local wines and spirits although the lager is a good brand. We only use this hotel as a base and tend to eat out and explore most of the time. The day time music around the pool is loud so if you like a fiesta ask for a land view. The sea view rooms are realy just pool view as there is a hotel between the Garden of Sun and the sea.

I stayed at the hotel during the Easter holidays with my husband and the hotel was one of the best I've seen in the area. The hotel is close to the nearest town which is Altinkum which is only 15-20 walk to the beach/town. The hotel staff seemed to be a bit inconsistent with the service as we were not sure when housekeeping takes place as they would arrive at various times during the day, sometimes late afternoon. The room service was good but they didn't seem to have a menu so we would only have the advice of the staff of what was available. The reception desk was not always manned so there were several times when we couldn't speak to anyone and had to keep redialing. Overall the hotel was clean and had good facilities like the spa, gym and Turkish baths which were amazing. I know from the Turkish residents and businesses that we were a bit early for the tourist season so I'm not sure if that is why the service was not what I'd expect for a 5 star hotel. We are going back to Turkey in September and we will stay there again because it is one of few 5 star hotels in the area. Hopefully it will be a more attentive experience during this time of year.

Buffet too crowded. Not enough food choices. Low to average food quality. Desserts very poor quality. Snacks & breakfast same choices everyday. Pool is big. Too toooo noisy in the rooms at night (until late night) if there is a celebration like a wedding on the hotel grounds. Rooms are cleaned well.

Overall it was very good indeed. Staff were very attentive. The only complaint I would have is that the bathrooms were not cleaned properly and the dining room was a bit too dark.

We spent one night at Garden of Sun as we wanted to see the Temple of Apollo. Would suggest that to visit the temple do this as a day trip from either Izmir, Bodrum or Selcuk, no need to stay in Didim. Garden of Sun was a very poor hotel, wall paper torn off bedroom walls, bed linen dirty and old (pillow case was off white an falling apart), bathroom was moldy and everything appeared to be falling apart. The hotel was a reasonable walk from the tourist area of Didim and was surrounded by litter and empty paddocks. Communication with staff was a challenge. The hotel was full of mainly young Bulgarians, Russians and English, who looked like they had stepped from the set of Jordy Shores. I think the 80's music from the pool and the wrist band they gave us at check in for the "all inclusive concept" should have been a giveaway.
