Very welcoming staff, property aged and in need of updates. Breakfast onsite very expensive! Nice quiet place.

Had a wonderful stay. Excellent service. Comfortable beds, great waterview on a clean lake. Food was excellent. Recommend the meal plan.

My biggest complaint is that the outdoor pool was in repair because of a crack in the pool. There was no water in the pool. There were no lounge chairs available around the pool. Guests were not able enjoy the pool deck. There were only 2 lounge chairs on the dock. Meals were very good, but quite pricey. The waterspa was delightful. The buttons on the different spa stations could use replacement.

Stayed for 5 nights in a Glen Eagle room. Quiet, older cottage style room. Outside needs some TLC. They had just started to get ready for the summer season. Had to ask for clean towels after a couple of days, rooms were not cleaned daily. Pool/spa was lovely. Food was good. I only ate in the dining room a couple of times. A nice relaxing stay.

We love this place and will be back. Pool is awesome, nice by the water, secluded in country.

I booked this hotel because it was only minutes away from a work engagement to be completed the following morning. I arrived at the hotel after the normal check-in hours and found my room keys and a welcome letter in my name on the desk. The room has a wood-burning fireplace, which fits with the charming inn vibes of the hotels and property. The hotel overlooks a lake and it was beautifully quiet and serene the following morning. I skipped breakfast and went and sat on a chair by the water and ready a book and just enjoyed a quiet break from my work trip. I did have one issue with my room - the water stopped working while I was in the shower (of course! LOL) and slowed to a trickle. I forgot to notify the desk staff, probably it was a wider issue than my room so probably they knew already.

We stayed for the long weekend in May. The outdoor pool and docks had not been put out for the season yet, because it was still cool on the lake. The Indoor pool was wonderful and warm, really relaxing. The cottage we stayed in was comfortable, although one of the couches was an old pull-out, so was not very firm and not comfortable to sit on. However, the beds were comfortable and soft, the bathroom was stocked and clean, the kitchen was smart and useful. The staff were lovely and genuine, and helpful. We dis not eat at the restaurant but instead drove into town for meals. We took advantage of the spa treatments, which were excellent. Would love to go back.

the property is showing its age. We did have a good time however. Staff was very accommodating.

Property needs some updating. The room was dirty and the floors had not been washed or vacuumed in quite a while. Although, the bed was clean and comfortable, the wood burning fireplace is always enjoyable. The pool/water spa was ok. Most of the jets did not work but the water was nice anyway. This property has definitely gone down hill over the last few years. A bit disappointed. Not sure we will be back.

Very relaxing atmosphere here. Restaurant and food was fantastic. Will definitely return to Sir Sams next winter.

Everything was perfect

This is a very old resort that is falling apart unfortunately. The "water spa" is a huge lukewarm pool with more than half the jets not operating. Very disappointing aspect of the resort. The main building has drywall peeling off and beams starting to expose in the ceiling which gave us no comfort. The cottage we stayed in had cardboard for toilet paper and tissue paper; the tv was probably 20 years old; water pressure was horrendous - almost couldn't wash and rinse our hair; the furniture was old and outdated and wildly uncomfortable. It was really disappointing overall. There is no "waterspa" to speak of and the entire resort needs massive upgrades.

We had a wonderful stay at Sir Sam's Inn and Waterspa! We had a beautiful view of the lake, and saw lots of deer walking along the shore during our stay. We had plenty of firewood for our fireplace in our room, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cute, complete with a smart TV and robes. The live music, Gord Kidd, was exceptional. We definitely hope to return here soon :)
