Excellent buffet

Our family of 4 very much enjoyed our time here. We had a family suite which was just enough for us and our two boys age 11 and 8. The big balcony was especially helpful for a place to dry clothes and towels after the day at beach and pool. We also appreciated the cold water purifiers stationed around the hallways. HowId rate the things we did: #1 beach and pool: gorgeous, clean, comfortable. Get pool chairs early. The beach is better in the morning or early evening. #2 food: we did half board and were so impressed by quality of the food. At first we were only going to do breakfast, but when we realized how good everything was and that our kids would be in the pool all day it was just easier. And so worth it. Meal times are time boxed though so be sure the check that. #3 excursions: while the resort is amazing, there is so much to do nearby. We went scuba diving near Alcúdia one day, and explored Formentor another. Leave the resort strip at least once or twice! #4: other activities onsite- silent disco night was awesome. The staff are so kind and fun and really engage the kids. We also played tennis- courts could use an update and be sure to book early or late for shade. Thing to note: we were surprised by the number of families with little kids (under 6). Our boys as basically tweens seemed old. We had a wonderful time, and everyone was very relaxed. But I would not suggest this as a place to come as a couple or alone.

A good hotel on the beach. For us it has gad to much children. I think for familys is good, but if you want to relax it's not the best location

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool area with water slides was excellent. The sea was very clean and shallow, perfect for children. There was a wide variety of food, but the quality could have been better. Housekeeping came at inconvenient times, towels were not always replaced, and bed linen was never changed. Overall, I don’t think the hotel fully meets 5-star standards.

Overall great experience. 2 areas for improvement would be parking and the in-room air conditioning, which didn’t do the trick.

Amazing hotel on a fantastic beach! Positives: Staff, food in all restaurants is great, swimming pool is amazing, great slides for kids at the kids pool, literally 5 steps from the most amazing beach. Negatives: Mattress wasn’t very comfortable and my husband felt the air con at the room was not enough. Overall amazing stay and we will come back.

Hidden Gem! A Very Special Place Hotel Overall It's been a great experience. Quite unexpected due to so many fun options for kids and family. Various pools to swim across and just by the beach front. Restaurants Food is great all around. I normally don't feel like this way about many 5* hotels I have visited over the years. But this one has definitely standout. Kids Club My twin girls enjoyed the kids club a lot as they had many different activities every day. It was well spread out to ensure they wouldn't get bored. Night Events Many different night events. Also for kids and adults. The entertainment staff are brilliant and incredibly talented. Well patience with everyone. Reception It was a good reception once we walked through the doors and at anytime we needed them. I can't fault any of the staff and just appreciate the dedication to the guests. Special Thanks to Hulda from Entertainment Team which has been amazing to my girs, Anna, Alicia from Kids Club, Virginie from pool bar, Tolve and reception team. We Will Be Back Next Year. (Ps. I have not ever re-visit other hotels before but coming back to this one seems a must). Thank You. You've definitely made our holiday very special.

Perfect spot - we will be back! Family of 4 (girls, 11 & 13). Super easy self parking and a perfect spot to come home to after a day of exploring.

Overall, we had a really nice time at Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village. We particularly liked the room setup. We had a suite and a family suite, and both were spacious, with large balconies and good facilities, e.g. Nespresso machines, microwaves, a well stocked mini bar, and similar. The beds were extremely comfortable, too! Food was very good - better than expected. We booked half board. Unfortunately we only had access to the buffet with this, but the quality of the food was generally very high, and the service was spot-on. There was a lot of good sea food on offer! Things we didn't love: We tried to contact the hotel well before our arrival to ensure that our rooms were next to each other (easier with a relatively young child...), but the email that we sent through the Expedia app went unanswered. We then used Iberostar's own online check-in to reserve two rooms, next to each other, but the hotel could not find a record of one of the bookings (although I had a confirmation email!). So we weren't as close together as we had planned. No huge drama, but as we went out of our way to sort this pre-arrival, it was annoying. The hotel manager was incredibly nice and tried to help, but there were no good options for us available. The spa / indoor pool is shared with the 4-star hotel next door, and it was quite overcrowded when we went, and a little chaotic. Also, the changing facilities were really poor - zero privacy and not very clean.

Wonderful stay at a great resort! B u t … Since we are an adult couple, we would have preferred that this was an adult only resort. Because it was a lot of noise and crying from kids and babies - at breakfast, dinner, by the pool and at the beach. It wasn’t quiet for a second - and that was what we really needed. But - we discovered a little late that at least for dinner, that there were a small adults only- section. Wish they could have told us at check in or at least in the restaurant when we said our room number and they saw that it was just the two of us. And for improvement: Maybe it could be an area by the pool as well - only for adults? Besides this, we really really love Playa de Muro Village. And lovely lady at the reception that did the check in ( Carina maybe?). And let us not forget LUKAS !!! The entertainer! He was a blast!!! Sooo nice and so funny!! And great that he joined many guests from different nations to make sangria all together! You must do everything you can to KEEP him at your hotel!!! And - it was very nice that one of the waitresses every day offered a drink by the pool. Super nice indeed.

It was super close to the beach. The resort was well staffed and never had to wait for a drink or food. Staff were friendly.

Well run hotel with very pleasant staff. Wish there were more a la carte options for dining throughout the day, unfortunately had to resort to dining across the road with the tacky tourist restaurants.

Not a 5 star hotel. It is decent and close to Beach. We did not eat breakfast but judging by the taste of coffee, the breakfast may not be amazing. Staff are friendly but checkin process in chaotic due to under staffing. Rooms are decent and it is a family and kids friendly place. Not the best place for people without kids.

Would highly recommend playa de muro village. Access to the beach was from the hotel so felt safe for little ones, and the hotel facilities are fantastic. There is an indoor pool in case it is too chilly to use the outdoor pools. The kids evening entertainment was a hit, but we missed out on alone time as didn’t realise the kids club was only available for drop off from 4yo (we have a 5yo and 2yo). Quality of food was great, but lunch options were limited tbh. Would highly recommend a stay here, especially if you love to cycle as there are a lot of cyclists around alcudia! We stayed in April and it was a bit chilly, might be better in May.

Food was excellent. Overall Hotel not true 5* and very over priced

Not a great attitude from the reception staff during check-in, telling us that the room we booked didn't exist and blaming Hotels.com for advertising this non-existing room. Eventually, after dragging our luggage from one room to another for an hour, they put us into an OK-ish room but still not as advertised, and refused to upgrade us to a better room for free. Buffet breakfast/dinners were generally good, particularly, in the beachfront cafe. We enjoyed the meals and the view. The beach itself is nice, but very narrow and overcrowded with beach umbrellas/chairs. If you don't wish to use them, you basically have no space left for you. Apart from the hotel, there is pretty much nothing to do outside within walking distance, which is pretty sad. It's good that we stayed only for 4 nights. P.S.: Beware, this "family-friendly hotel" has no lifts, so if you've got a pushchair, you'll need to conquer stairs multiple times a day.

Great hotel for families. Beautiful location right on the beach (although the beach gets quite windy in the afternoons). Enjoyed our stay very much
