Pleasant stay, no issues. Breakfast was great, nice to see black pudding served with English breakfast, which most don't do these days!

Hotel a little tired, but still a very welcoming place to stay, with smiling staff.

Liked it all, except we didn't get the early morning call which could have been a disaster as travelling. Just as well we set alarm as well.

Hotel was ok, breakfast was well stocked and plenty of choices.

Breakfast was ok but was waiting for stuff to be refilled a long time such as cups coffee and food,other wise it was a good hotel and would book here again

The hotel is a little tired in some parts but the rooms are clean . Bed is really compfy and the staff are pleased to help.

I have stayed here before, and it has usually been OK, although not great. This time, the room I was first given had a collapsed wardrobe rail, and the second room had a loose bathroom hot tap, a very noisy bathroom fan, and the room’s waste bin was unusable. Restaurant food was OK, but the portion of fish in the fish & chips was surprisingly small, so it was poor value for money. I think the staff must be used to customers complaining, because they don’t seem at all bothered about things that are wrong.

The breakfast and the staff are fantastic but the hotel rooms are in need of refurbishment and a lick of paint. Although the beds are very comfortable the furniture and decor are very dark and outdated. This is reflected in the price which is very reasonable. I find this hotel perfect for my needs which are bed and breakfast, which I can’t fault.

Our welcome was very good . Se dident use amenities, as use ee only used it as a base while visiting family . But we found the room realy tierd needs a revamp, bathroom especialy, shower cirtain was dirty , orangey body fat at bottom, same as tiles and tbey also need replaceing, shower gel still on nath tiles from previuos users, whole batroom needs modeniseing. Bed gave me and my husband back ache, although bed linen lovely and clean. Would we stay here again , yes if revamped. Many thanks lesley taylor

Rooms are a bit tired, it was very hot in the room at night we did have a fan but was had to turn it off as we couldn't get to sleep with the noise ,room was clean

Lovely Hotel however needs an upgrade on its current amenities. Like air conditoned bedroom, bathroom upgrade with walk in shower and not just Bath tub.

A slightly tired hotel but regardless, it’s very comfortable and peaceful with a very good restaurant and bar. Good value for money.

Very dated building, furniture and carpets. All in need of a full refurbishment. But it was clean, things worked (shower, TV), and staff were friendly. Breakfast looked good although I only had a banana and yogurt. For £50 you get what you pay for.

It was just for a night, but really relaxing
