The location was excellent.

We stayed here for a total of 8 nights. On arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful, and even though our room was not ready (we arrived very early) they were able to check our bags and give us recommendations for our day until the room would be ready. They even helped bring our bags to the room when it was available. The room was a little dusty in places but did not bother us as it was mostly in the hard to reach or unnoticeable places. A window was missing a crank but was not an issue as we mostly ran the AC with the humidity anyways so we did not mention it. Our room was located in a nearby building to the main hotel lobby and while we could hear the street noise it was pleasant even when it was a little louder on the weekend and with our own adventures we slept right through or participated in most of it. The room did have a small but equipped kitchen should you choose to prepare your own meals but the options around are so great we never used more than the fridge or microwave. Room did not have much more than a view of the nearby street but this was great for a little old town street noise and the location could not have been any better for a stay in Old Montreal, as its centrally located to a lot of the sights and shops, as well as stumble distance from many quality bars. We walked to almost everything and the local metro is a close walk to extend your reach to the rest of Montreal! We would def stay here again! Thank you to the staff for a great experience.

If you don’t mind walking up stairs.. incredible value for money

This property is in the old port area. Very walkable to food and sites. We loved the loft experience which was spacious and historic at the same time. Only challenge is that the internet is dreadfully slow.

Ideal location and wonderful staff. We especially want to recognise Terry who helped us with our luggage as well his advice and pleasing personality.

This room was lovely! We were only there one night, so we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful jet tub or even use the kitchen, but the bed was very comfortable. Great location! Friendly, helpful staff!

The hotel check in was superb with such friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Excellent restaurants on site, especially the roof top terrace. Fantastic location in Old Town. No lift so bear that in mind and bedroom floor sloped! Honestly, though, if I’m back in Montreal I would book it again in a heartbeat.

In the heart of old Montreal. Convenient to everything. Gaspar restaurant was excellent. Stayed in the Lofts. Only problem was too many steps, no elevator. After a full day of eating, shopping, nightlife, it definitely needs an elevator. Walking distance to literally everything.

Overall Rating: 4 / 5 We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property right in the heart of Old Montreal. The location truly cannot be beat if you are looking to explore the historic area. What really stood out to us was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly pleasant to talk to, friendly, and highly communicative whenever we had any questions or minor issues. On top of that, housekeeping and front desk responsiveness was top-notch—anytime we requested extra towels or bottled water, they were delivered to our room quickly and without any hassle. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a charming, well-located stay with fantastic customer service!

Great location in old city on rue st. Vincent. Loft is above a restaurant. 40 steps to the loft, several levels. Great room, open very clean. Lots of help getting bags to loft from valet. Kitchen was short of some basics. No regular coffee pot. Coffee maker was mini pods espresso. With about 1/2 dozen pods. Was missing a decent fry pan, cutting board, kitchen towels, oven mitts. They brought us a new fry pan and cutting board. Staff was great. The lobby in the hotel was very nice.

The staff were incredibly helpful. The air conditioning was top-notch and the bed was super comfortable.

We stayed in the lofts which are located 2 short blocks from the main hotel but it’s a lovely walk along the historic Rue St Paul pedestrian-only street. The lofts are on a very quiet street and well insulated. Full kitchen, spacious bathroom, living room and bedroom. 2 large closets. The hotel has a lovely rooftop restaurant/bar with great city views. If you’re there during fireworks, be sure to make a reservation in advance. The main restaurant, Gaspar, has 2 parts - an outdoor patio on the historic Rue St Paul and a quieter part by the main entrance. The overall location is fantastic for exploring old Montreal, access to attractions like Cirque du Soleil.

Beautiful room, fully stocked, clean, exceptional service. Location was perfect! Our only issue is that we were told we could use the rooftop bar/restaurant. We weren’t going to eat, just a cocktail and look at the view but were turned away and told we needed a reservation because they were full. The bar area was not full and I have never needed a reservation to stand at a bar and have a drink. They should have told us when we checked in that we needed reservations. We never did get up there… disappointing especially since we were guests at the hotel.

Interesting arrangement of lofts in the heart of things. Loved it.

Great location in the middle of old port. Very spacious and great facilities in the room. An apartment experience - not a hotel - but the staff resolved issues very promptly. A certain level of fitness needed to traverse 3 flights of stairs several times a day, but they helped with the luggage on check in and check out. Would recommend.

A bit of confusion at check-in that the staff handled perfectly. The loft was outstanding, location perfect. This was our second stay at Vieux-Port and will definitely not be our last.

The perfect location for a visit to Montreal! A short walking distance to all the sights as well as Metro stations close by for those farther journeys.

Great location, and absolutely wonderful staff. The room was beautiful and the amenities were first class. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was a lumpy, saggy mattress.
