We paid full price for a king room but on arrival room was just so small and dingy with just 12 inches clearance around the side of the bed, with a tiny little velux window in the roof. The bathroom was about 2m x 1m with a small shower which was filthy. If you get allocated Room 55 at reception then ask to change as there is no way 2 adults can comfortably fit in that room. They said they were full so we couldn’t change. Also when we arrived the room door was open which was really concerning. I was so disappointed with this hotel as the pictures make it look so lovely. For the price paid it was an absolute rip off.

The facilities were cool. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym even treatment services. Room was fine I paid extra for upgrade. Staff were terrible, Treatment staff mustn't be connected to hotel. As a customer i asked them a question. The young lady seemed put out that I spoke to her. Abruptly said, try the reception. A restaurant staff member said to my wife you lok great, better than earlier. We were charged £50 each riff raff tax for room deposit. I left message it our anniversary and my wife's birthday. No mention from them. We've stayed in places over the year where they give a free drink, even had a bottle of wine. Nothing here. £10+ medium wine. We were on a budget the £100 they took meant we couldn't enjoy ourselves as if any accident in the room happened we'd lose that money. Won't recommend here at all.

We chose the hotel for an overnight stay due to its close proximity to Silent Pool Gin distillery which was 5 mins away so location perfect. When engaging with staff mostly helpful. The one issue was there wasn’t a lot of staff. At 9 pm on returning to our room I expected fresh towels requested 2 hours earlier. Telephone calls to reception went unanswered. Visiting reception it took some time and 3 rings to finally get to see a member of staff. I then had to wait at reception to take towels back to the room rather than them being brought. The room amenities were adequate, tea and coffee provided but no biscuits. Bathroom toiletries were basic so would advise taking own. Indoor pool area showed some signs of wear and tear although were in working order. Towels provided were slightly larger than a hand towel and very thin. Both the outdoor pool area and sun lounge area had a number of broken sun loungers. We did book some spa treatments, facial and Swedish massage. Both therapists were excellent, however never saw any staff in the spa reception area nor were we given a health questionnaire to complete prior to treatments. As our treatments were at 11;00 the hotel did give complementary late check out, which was really helpful. Breakfast was limited but adequate and dinner Sunday evening the staff accommodated our request for an item not on the Sunday menu which was appreciated. This could be such a lovely venue with more staff - those working there really are doing their best

Lovely hotel with exceptionally well maintained gardens and facilities. Friendly and accommodating staff who went the extra mile to add that personal touch that made our stay so enjoyable.

A terrible experience. Very tired hotel and spa facilities. Poor staff, rude and unhelpful. Complaints have taken a week so far to hear anything back. It appears there are a long list of people complaining.

I arrived and was met by a very polite young lady and evern tho I was early my room was ready and I was allowed to check in. The gentleman in the bar (Scottish) was such a pleasure to talk to and so polite and informative about the local area. It was nice to meet genuine people as I believe this amounts to more than the exceptional services offered at the hotel and spa. I couldn’t recommend enough and when I return to the area I will rebook.

Stay was good, food (breakfast) was good. Noisy early neighbours disturbed my night’s sleep.

What an amazing place! Absolutely beautiful place with magnificent gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful, even though we checked in a bit early. The room was a decent size and comfortable bed. Tea, coffee and water provided. The shower room was lovely and spotless with small soap and gels provided. My only gripe was the 2 cleaners talking unnecessarily loudly eaning the room next door at 8.30am. I wanted a lie in but was rudely awoken by their noise.

Great location for what we wanted to (visit silent pool and Shere). Thought spa was tired looking, our room was ok and staff ok without being overly polite or helpful. Didn't realise breakfast wasn't included in price of room so had to fork out £15pp for this. Charged £20 for early check in too so overall value for money wasn't brilliant

A good stay that could have been better. Things are a little tired and could do with an upgrade. But good value for money.

The room was very comfy, and clean. But it is not well soundproofed, and there was a lot of noise in the corridor at 730….. otherwise, a good place to stay and very good value
