Loved it there.

This hotel is spotless. The staff are very friendly. The staff that clean and look after the rooms do an exceptional job. The restaurant staff were always cheerful even under pressure. The Italian lady on Saturday morning was a delight to meet. Saturday and Sunday evening Des and Dan ran it so smoothly. They were so welcoming and attentive. Excellent service. The breakfast was excellent. Great choice of buffet and excellent coffee. The hot breakfast is freshly prepared, not on the buffet. There is a list to choose from. The restaurant food is excellent quality. Five star chefs 😊 The Superior deluxe room was spacious. There is a kettle with a lovely selection of teas and coffee. Oat milk and semi skimmed milk sachets. A decanter of cold water and glasses. The bathroom was clean. The towels super soft. The dispensers for shampoo and shower gel a bit hit and miss. The hand and body lotion has a light fragrance. The sink surround is too close to the toilet. I hurt my elbow. The shower is over the bath.The screen needed to be pulled into the bath before stepping out. It wouldn’t be suitable for unfit people. Unfortunately the iron was dirty and leaked. The ironing board was good. The hairdryer was good. The room was light and airy with a balcony. The bed was super comfy It was a long weekend stay, thoroughly enjoyable .Thank you to all

The hotel has been completely renovated, and the rooms are very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel is conveniently located right in the central portion of Kirkwall with most local attractions and restaurants a short walk away

Enjoyed our stay in large, comfortable room with balcony. Easy check in and check out. Handy for central Kirkwall, shops and harbour. Free overnight parking across the road from the hotel.

Recently refurbished to a high standard. Everything was really good.

Room was good. Clean, no issues. We were away before breakfast to catch ferry so no comment on breakfast.

Would recommend facecloth in bathrooms, plus small towel rack for hand towel above toilet (room 212), plus recommend at least one hand rail in shower. Should post policy notice regarding cleaning and towel replacement in the room.

Excellent hotel!

The hotel had been recently renovated and the design features were beautiful. It was a less than 5 minute walk from the bus station. It was a 2 minute walk to the centre of town. My sister and I would definetly recommend it to anyone. In fact we did tell people we met about it

Good location in central Kirkwall. Ate in Bar on successive evenings and the food was excellent. No dedicated parking but a pay parking site right outside with civilised charges and times so no problem there.

Very sound hotel with very good staff. It is very expensive though so not great value for money.

The large well equipped room and modern bathroom were very good . The location of the hotel is very central and close to a free car park . The quality of the breakfast was disappointing compared to every other hotel we have used this year. Regular tea was in a pot on a hot plate next to the coffee and therefore stewed . This was a first ! The woman running the breakfast on our first day was excellent trying to keep a fully booked room happy single-handedly with a smile and warm manner .

Great

Great location and access, though paid parking is a nuisance during an extended stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable if a bit oddly shaped, being squeezed into an older building. The breakfast cold buffet and full (hot) Scottish order process is more than adequate. The Bothy Bar is cozy and inviting, serving Orkney's great beers and whiskies.
