This hotel is very welcoming and friendly! We had a lovely 2day break! Rooms immaculate spotless and super clean! Home cooked food which was beautiful! The restaurant and bar had lovely decor and I would highly recommend! The location for this hotel is perfect to visit surrounding areas! Staff very friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and warm when we arrived the staff were really friendly and the bar was well stocked with a good range of beer and wine

Wouldn’t recommend if you need to connect to WiFi to do any form of work, streaming/ internet browsing of any sort. Had I known - I probably would have just paid extra for somewhere with reliable WiFi. As a Country pub though, great food, decent drink selection and great restaurant staff.

Arrived checked in after a few minutes. Nice clean rooms All the staff on when i stayed were attentive and very friendly Lovely little Pub/Restaurant area. Food was excellent quality. Road noise isn't excessive, as its situated on the main road, so dont let that put you off. My self and business partner will be booking accommodation again a couple of time in 26 when we are down in the area on work.

I've used the F&G over many years. It's a decent independent hotel which has recently refurbished at least some of its rooms. If you're fed up of chains, try the F&G.

Very hospitable and great quality food

The room was nice, but we had a problem with both the front window not closing and a noisy hairdryer. However, when we told them at reception, the hairdryer was replaced for a better one and the window was fixed to our satisfaction. Overall, quite satisfied.
