Nice stay, great host, breakfast excellent, parking excellent, small room but absolutely fine for what we needed. Shortish walk to town and back, bus service available but we just walked. Definitely would stay again.

This was an absolute disaster! I arrived to an empty house and couldn’t get in! The email from the owner had gone to my junk folder. I called the owner and was told the room would not be available until 8.00 pm! But I could wait inside! After a whole day of travel, I entered the house - and availed myself of a hot drink! All this time I was alone. After waiting for 45 minutes (and needing a restroom) I lost patience and booked at the local Travelodge! No refund was offered! I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend anyone book this place!

It was a great stay at Queens Road, the host was welcoming and very knowledgeable to assist with the area. The room was clean, tidy and had a lot of amenities. If you want a check in with minimal contact this is a great way to do it. The venue is also great if visiting people at the hospital and the university. It is so close by. I was extremely impressed with the amount and variety provided on the breakfast tray. If you are happy with carbs for breakfast this was fantastic. If you are a high protein breakfaster not so much. I would next time ask prior for Decaf coffee and skimmed milk. The connection for the tv wasn't great but we weren't in the room for long so wasn't a major issue for us. The bathroom was small but I am a large person but was adequate for what you need. It does look a little dated but was clean. As there is instructions to access keys etc I think it would be good to have some instructions or a key drop box for when you leave the property at the end of your stay...that way contact is kept to a minimum and also you know that you have left the keys safely. Overall, I am very impressed with the property and the value for the stay. Thank you

Staying at 31 Queens Rd was a fantastic experience. Richard was a friendly and knowledgeable host. My breakfast tray every morning was above and beyond in terms of quality and quantity. My room was clean, cozy, comfortable; the entire property was safe and well lit. On site parking was beyond convenient. Highly recommend!!

We had a very comfortable nights stay here. Easy, precise instructions for gaining access to the property, and a very comfortable room. Host was very easy to speak to and the breakfast tray was amazing! Good pub just up the road too!

The proprietor is a very friendly gent. The property is basically a private home with two rooms (I think) for visitors and two parking spaces...perfect!. The room was comfortable, clean, and very quiet. There was a generous "continental" breakfast (though the term "continental" understate the extraordinarily generous tray delivered to one's room). The property is about a mile from the lovely town center and the cathedral. A comfortable walk if you are capable of walking.

I was welcomed by name. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and had everything you could possibly wish for. Breakfast was served on the dot of 8 as promised. The selection was great and the quality excellent.

Well, situated, only a 15 minute walk into the centre of town. Off street parking. Beautifully decked out for the festive season, lots of nice litter touches. Welcome sign on arrival and good tips for where to go in town. Great breakfast delivered to door. Lovely one night stay.

For reasons outside the owners control the accommodation became unavailable at short notice. The owner informed me and offered me an alternative at his expense as it cost more than I'd originally paid. I couldn't have asked for anymore and was able to continue with my trip.

The property was clean, the bed was nice and comfy, the owners were very helpful, the breakfast although delivered to our room was very good with a wide choice of items to choose from. The room itself was a bit tired and items didn't work.

We stayed in the small room, though small it had everything we needed. Very clean and Covid rules being rigorously applied. Good selection of different things for breakfast. Owner is well organised and some nice touches during our stay (like fresh milk delivered for the evening).
