Hôtel Mercure Amiens Cathédrale is in a fantastic location for exploring Amiens, particularly being only a short walk from the cathedral and surrounding restaurants and bars. The hotel itself was nice overall and the room was clean, tidy and well kept during our stay. Check-in was delayed when we arrived, but to their credit the staff handled it well and offered us a complimentary round of drinks whilst we waited, which was appreciated. The third bed for our child had not initially been made up in the room, however we mentioned it whilst heading back out and it had been sorted by the time we returned later on. Breakfast was good and the hotel generally had a pleasant atmosphere. They were also in the middle of some building work during our visit, although it did not cause any noticeable noise or disruption whilst we were there. The main downside for us was the air conditioning, which felt very weak and struggled badly with the hot weather. Our room became very warm which unfortunately did impact the comfort of the stay quite a bit. Overall though, a good hotel in an excellent location with friendly staff and a decent breakfast.

The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, which impacts on the reception, bar and restaurant area. Unfortunately we were not informed of this at the time of booking. The rooms are fine, standard corporate hotel rooms and on the smaller size. The best thing is the location right by the cathedral.

This place has gone downhill. No airconditioning in the room and was unable to sleep due to the heat, request for a new room was unsuccessful. Waited 15 mins for a menu during a dinner reservation, was then told when ordering that there was no food left other than one option on the menu. Although staff were friendly and the room was clean, at this price I strongly suggest exploring other options when staying in Amiens.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Amiens! The hotel is conveniently located within minutes of buses, the metro and local dining. Our room was exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel! It will be our hotel of choice when we return!

excellent hotel. Nice rooms. Great staff. excellent breakfast. only comment - no milk or similar in the rooms for the coffee and tea.
