The hotel is difficult to find & isn't recognised by satnavs. The front of the hotel is need of updating to include a sign to identify the hotel as we drove past it 3 or 4 times without seeing it. The hotel is more of a 3 star and not a 4 star as advertised "4-star hotel in Castelsardo Historic Centre with spa and restaurant ". The Spa and Restaurant are down the road at the 4 star sister hotel and the hotel will give you a 10% discount in the restaurant. This is disappointing as the hotel description is misleading and the hotel are charging 4 star facilities for a 3 star hotel. The room itself was basic with mini bar, air conditioning, balcony, Wifi kept dropping out and the soundproofing wasn't as advertised "soundproofed rooms" as we could hear the traffic all night with all the windows closed. The breakfast was basic continental breakfast with no hot food available. We had stayed at other hotels and they offered hot scrambled egg and bacon for us to compare against. The car park is self parking and costs an additional 10 euros per night. We paid for an upgraded sea view room and the view was obscured by a building opposite with washing on the line (see photos), although the sea was visible to the left.
We had stayed in other hotels during our holiday in Sardinia and this was the worst when comparing the standard of hotel against the cost. This is a very expensive hotel to stay in and the facilities are NOT as described in the "Hotels.com" description.
