I suppose you get what you pay for. Bathroom had a sewage smell, TV did not work, no A/C. Place all locked up when arrived, definitely not a hotel. More like a hostel. I’m glad it was just for 1 night!!!!!

Check in was easy and fuss free and the gentleman who checked us in was lovely. The room was basic and clean, it was everything we needed for our stay in Rome. Only thing I'd mention was the damp/mould in the bathroom on the roof and around the window. Other than that it was fine :) There is also a nice restaurant two doors down which served amazing food at really reasonable prices - Highly recommend! Overall of we ever headed back to Rome we would rebook this hotel :)

The hotel office was closed completely... nobody to welcome you. There was an air conditioner in the room but no controller for it. A post it note outside the office said they wanted an extra 10 euros for the air conditioner controler. The tiny elevator had no light. We were worried we mighr not be able to get our room we had already paid for. A post it note said to go next door to get your keys. Anyway.. this place was scary... my wife and i would not reccomend it.

Am amazed about the high rating of this hostel as this is definitely NOT a hotel!. I thought hotels.com check out these places before they advertise but I guess not. I find most of hotels.com ads misleading, take this hostel for instance, the pictures have been carefully manipulated so it's in a double Panasonic view, some pictures are stock pictures and NOT the place at all!. This building has 2 different hostels in them. As soon as you get to this hotel as they call it, you are welcomed with a stench of piss and am talking indoors!. I think it's managed by the owner who was drunk to a stupor when we got there, he was actually swaying back and forth when we got there!. Then after booking for 3 people, he charged us separately for an additional bed saying it only had a double bed, another charge for using air condition, it had no drinking in building but the place was stinking of liquor and piss. We actually had to find another hotel through agoda.com, called 💖 heart hotel and left. I laugh about it now cause it was an experience for my 2 teen girls to learn about business, manipulation and what carefully edited pics can accomplish compared to reality. There is nothing like the phrase 'seeing is believing'. The old man reminded my kids of there grandpa when he is in a good mood and has a couple of pints, he starts reading slowly and smiling😃. Definitely a time to remember!.

I don’t really want to do a review since the place was cheap. I will just say, you get what you paid for. If you want a better place, then you will need to pay more. Lol I will not recommend though if you have extra money.

Be ready to pay $10 extra per day if you want AC . Also be ready to pay for an extra bed even if your reservation says 3 or 4 people.

On arrival at 6.30pm the reception desk was closed, the man in the bar outside had to contact them for us and after about 15 minutes someone did appear. On checking in we had to pay the city tax which was advised in the description and so we were aware of this, what was not in the description was that you had to pay 10 euros per night for air conditioning, if required, and when it’s 38 degrees it’s required, and that if you book a room for three you only pay to hotels.com for a double room and you have to pay the hotel, in cash, another 10 euros per night for the extra bed, which was already part of the room make up anyway as it pulled down out of a cupboard that was fixed to the wall!!! The rooms are very basic, there isn’t a working hairdryer in the hotel, contrary to the room facilities list, and the breakfast, well the picture would lead you to think you were going to have a lovely rooftop table, no what you actually do is walk two blocks away and sit in a little cafe at the side of a very busy road to be served a drink and croissant of your choice. On checking out at 8am again reception was closed and we had to contact to be told to leave the key in the room and all would be ok. We didn’t expect 5 star hotel as we booked a budget city break but chose this hotel based on the description and photos which are both quite misleading, and costly.

There was no people at reception at any time.. even when we arrive the guy was outside. And never see him again during all the stay. Also. They charged for everything.. when i booked the room i did it for 3 people.. and then i got an email saying that for the third person we have to pay extra for the bed. Also charge for breakfast when it said when i booked breakfast was included.. anways. In general the place is not bad. But its not the best. The room was clean but realy small and thigh for 4 people.

A nice clean place to stay. Bedroom and bathroom are very spacious. Room is cleaned and towels replaced daily. Can get a bit noisy as the building echoes, so you can hear people on the staircase throughout the night. It didn’t stop us from sleeping though. Nice and close to termini and the metro lines, as well as multiple bus stops. It is a half hour walk from the colloseum. Could not hear any noise from the street which was fantastic. Overall enjoyed our stay here.

The reception was careless to us. It doesn't give enough information unless you ask him. We stayed for three days, however the bedsheets didn't change. The reception is sometimes is not available at his Office.

The photos do not match with the real hotel. The breakfast is not at the hotel as it seems on the photos, its in a random bar. In our last day the bar didn't have food for everybody so we couldn't eat.

Great position with lovely restaurant next door. The room was nice and clean but you have to be either a dwarf or contortionist to use the bathroom..

The room was on the small side but acceptable for the price paid. AC worked well and service was friendly. Rooms were fairly clean. The only major issue was the noise on the street from the bar next door. People would be drinking, shouting, playing music till late hours. Noise could be heard through the closed windows. This isn't in the control of the hotel but it ruined an otherwise pleasant stay.

The property was advertised as including a terrace bar and breakfast. However, these facilities were closed. We had to find a bar for breakfast and pay for it!

The best location and price in Rome Staff was fine, night manager's lack of any English made for misunderstandings BIG PROBLEM: SHOWER IS 24' SQUARE, DOOR OPENING IS A CORNER THAT OPENS LESS THAN 12' SO IF YOUR OVER 200 POUNDS, IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN AND IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN YOUR LEGS AND AVOID HITTING THE VALVE WHILE YOU'RE IN IT (SCALDING ISSUE EVERY TIME!) Staff makes every effort to accommodate hotel guests as there are Hostels on one side of the hotel and across the street. No problems while we were there but we understand the reason for their caution and concern Italian restaurant next door was FABULOUS, we were treated like family and spent at least sometime there every evening. We would stop in after touring and eating to have wine (5 euro liters), desserts, drinks and pizzas (about 7 euros), ate dinner there often as well (8 euro carbonara), fantastic food!!!
