How do I start.. it is our fav hotel of this trip 🥹 the view from the room, from sauna room and from breakfast spot is amazing. Their wellness area is big. They have 2 sauna (hot and mild), steam, ice station, hydro beds, big relaxing room with tea, dried fruits etc. Wide selection of quality breakfast (I did not get to take photo of all corners) Their staff is so helpful and kind. Let me share some photos then. Our personal preference - we like traunsee lake more than hallstatt as it is quiet and less touristy

Completely in love with this accommodation...and village. I only wish I had more time to stay more nights. So welcoming, relaxing, serene and what a location! Perfect.

Everything exceptional! They know what they are doing. The only thing I would change: we had old style toilets in our room, called flachspüler, which made sense in the old days when you had to inspect your stool, but in a shared bathroom where you and someone else also take a shower or bath, the lingering smell is exponentially worse than modern toilets where your business drops into water thus keeping the smells to a minimum...

Staying at Hotel Das Traunsee was truly a magical experience. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by peace, beauty, and genuine Austrian hospitality. The view over the lake is simply breathtaking — waking up to that serene blue water and the sound of nature felt like something out of a dream. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for, always with warm smiles and thoughtful details that turned our stay into something special. The rooms are elegant, cozy, and designed to make you feel at home, with every window framing a postcard view. The breakfast was absolutely delightful — fresh, local ingredients, served with care and a view that makes every morning unforgettable. After exploring the lake, spending time in the sauna was the perfect way to unwind. It’s peaceful, quiet, and offers pure relaxation with the same stunning lake scenery. We came all the way from Brazil to explore Austria, and staying at Hotel Das Traunsee was truly the best way to experience it. Hope to be back one day at winter time!

true jewel in Austria We’ve spent quite some time exploring the Austrian lakes, but Das Traunsee clearly exceeded our expectations. From the very first contact, everything was handled with great care and precision. Our room (#205) was spacious, with gorgeous views, and the hotel offered plenty of outdoor areas with sun chairs to relax. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight – excellent options combined with a spectacular scenic view. Dinner, even outside of their star restaurant, was a true culinary delight. The wellness area is another gem: several saunas and steam rooms, generous resting areas, and everything designed for relaxation, allowing for refreshing dip into the lake. Overall, we were very happy with the warm and attentive service throughout our stay – it made all the difference. We will definitely return. Thank you
