The Hirsch is a great little hotel centrally located in Fussen. It is very charming, has a great restaurant and beer garden and allows for walking to local shops and restaurants and is a short drive to the castles. My only issue with the hotel is the lack of air-conditioning in hotel rooms. We were there in July and it was very hot. We were told that the room had air-conditioning, but there are no air vents in the room and when we questioned the staff, they said there are water pipes in the ceiling that help cool the room. We ended up sleeping with the windows open as temperatures dropped in into the 60s at night, but due to the noise in the early morning we had to shut them and it gets uncomfortably hot quickly. I would absolutely stay at the Hirsch hotel again, but not during the summer months when it is so hot.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Hirsch. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of character. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Breakfast was exceptional, with an impressive selection of fresh, high-quality foods. I arrived several hours before check-in, and the hotel graciously allowed me to park while I explored the area. They also provided a complimentary public transportation pass, which made it easy to catch nearby Bus 78 to Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles. The combination of outstanding service, thoughtful amenities, and convenient location made for a wonderful stay. I would gladly stay at Hotel Hirsch again without hesitation.

Beautiful hotel in the wonderful town of Fussen. This stay was my first night ever in Europe and I could not have picked a better location. Rooftop views, rose garden in the front, and walking distance to the city's shopping and dining are all amazing perks of this hotel. The front desk was very helpful in checking us in and getting our parking pass (the lot in the front was very convient). Our room was very spacious and had a lovely view of the city. I only wish I got to stay longer!

Hotel Hirsch was a great find! From the friendly and helpful welcome from the staff to the room, the view and location in Fussen we enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean, modern and had views to the mountains, we even got to see the moon rising behind the mountains. The location is ideal for the exploring the town and Neuschwanstein Castle with free bus travel via the Fussen Card. We also enjoyed the roof top deck. Parking was easy in the hotel car park with other options nearby.

Great location and spacious room. The outdoor deck was lovely but unfortunately we had rain. Parking was simple and close. We wished we’d had more time here!

Such a lovely place.

The hotel was a great location in the middle of town. The room for three people was so cute. There was a cubby cut into the wall for a bed. My 6 foot tall teenager fit there. We lost something while at the hotel, and they found it for us and then we picked it up. A great stay

Excellent on all counts, superb breakfast, lovely setting, comfortable and clean rooms and bathrooms, clever design, topnotch staff...not cheap, but unmistakeable world-class quality.

This charming property has a helpful staff, delicious breakfast, comfortable beds, rooftop lounge, and convenient location. The town is also charming with ample restaurants and walkable Medieval streets. Each room in the hotel has its own decor. We wish we had planned to stay more than one night and would stay here again.

A charming old hotel, but with modern facilities. Easy check in, with onsite parking. Staff absolutely excellent, always smiling, always chatting and happy to help. Romm comfortable, but we do wish there was a kettle on room, rather than having to ask for a flask of hot water every time we wanted a cuppa. The flak was always willingly provided, but not quite boiling water, so the tea was not quite up to scratch. Excellent location for the old town.
