This was our second stay here and we had a very nice apartment on the third floor, with a small courtyard enabling eating outside. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The room service is second to none with excellent housekeeping. We had a blocked sink and that was quickly cleared. The property is very well placed for the train station, local eateries, Bodegas and at a greater walk to the beach. Travel to Cadiz, Jerez and Seville is simple and efficient by train. There is no oven, but microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer and hotplate provided. Iron on request. The tv is in Spanish only and my only negative comment albeit we did not miss this medium. Excellent hotel and staff.

Beautiful, old traditional house on a pedetrianised street. Delightful apartment, spotlessly clean. Very pleasant staff, more than happy to help. Great character neighbourhood, great restaurants and bars within a few minutes, walk and so ready to get the catamaran to Cadiz.

Likes: Essentially, this property was an old mini palace, with several flats on each floor. There are two small courtyards inside the structure, after you walk past two massive steel-reinforced, solid wooden doors. Each flat comes with a kitchen, a comfortably - sized combined living and dining area with a couch, a comfrtably - sized bedroom with closet, as well as an above-average sized bathroom with a shower over the tub, and a bidet. The hotel provides daily housekeeping sevrices, toilettries, and kitchen supplies. Front-desk staff and housekeeping are very helpful and speak English, among other languages. While this property may be located in downtown, and within walking distance of many businesses and attractions, The location can be a huge negative factor as well. Fail: As mentioned above, the location is a boon of this property. Unfortunately, it is also the bane that makes one rethink any decision, more than twice, of whether to stay here. The biggest problem to this property is the parking problem, which can be quite an irritance at best, but a costlyl headache at worst, if your car is ever towed! Thankfully, public parking is available nearby, and range in price from 3.95 - 5.95 euros every 24 hours, with no in/out privileges. At first glance, while the price of an overnight stay might be viewed as an attractive value, factoring in the cost and incovnenience of parking spaces can make this property a value trap! Caveat emptor!

A little gem right in the middle of historic Puerto Sta. Maria. Close to a lot of shops. Quite, and well furnished apartment.

Good central position. Very friendly and efficient staff who ensured our accommodation was maintained to a very good standard. Access to washing machine and drying area was excellent. Only negative comment is that it could be very noisy - other guests on the shared landings, arriving / departing early hours or late pm.

Restored 15th century palace with an interior courtyard, located in downtown El Puerto de Santa Maria. This historic property is in a very central location and is a mere few minutes stroll to all the major attractions in downtown such as the bullring, the cathedral, luna street with all its shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. The big butt, [pun intended] as with all downtown locations, is the horrid parking pitfalls and challenges one must overcome, during pek summer tourist seasons. The other downside is the distance to the beach, requiring some other form of transport other than walking.

A former Palace with small, basic apartments. The beds were fairly comfortable for a short stay and it is in a very convenient location for restaurants, shopping and bars

2 bedroom apartment with kitchen. Very clean. Air conditioning unit was in kitchen therefore bedroom doors need to be left open to cool rooms.

This hotel is right in the middle of town. The staff were friendly and we felt like we were at home - it was that comfortable. There is no parking at the hotel (it's on a pedestrian street). Parking was at a public parking facility - but safe and cheap. Walk was about 300 meters from parking lot to the hotel. Lots of eating places nearby and a lot cheaper than Cadiz.

Once you find this place, it is a pleasant change from hotels, with a sitting-room and fully-equipped kitchen. There is a small supermarket just down the street opposite the entrance, open when other shops are closed. The town has a large, interesting church, a small but elegant castle and a number of museums. There is a boat service to Cadiz, but this was not running in winter after a bad storm. Cadiz is 40 minutes by local train and Jerrez much closer - Cadiz 4 Euros day return and Jerez 1.15 Euros single (both with Tareja Dorada). Note that everything closes on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday - plan your visit accordingly.

Great location, have stayed here couple of times with 4 years apart, both times a very pleasant stay. These are apartments with kitchen, etc. best to be used that way if you can. Beautiful building too! Recommended for price-location ratio!

we have visited El Puerto de Santa Maria many times, always staying in other hotels, which were quite acceptable. This time, however, we wanted to try this hotel, which we have passed and were curious about. We were surprised and pleased , and plan on staying there next time we visit.

We had a lovely time in El Puerto de Santa Maria, we felt to be right in the centre where the people of El Puerto are living and seeing the hussle and bussle of their daily lives, we felt as if we were living there and it is right near the market. Casa Palacio is an enchanting place nicely restaured and with a lovely patio Andaluz style and the roofgarden is nice. The apartment is a bit old fashioned but the atmosphere is very good. The receptionist was extremely helpful and gave us lots of information. Very recommendable and also close to Cadiz which you can visit and you can take the boat that brings you right into the centre of Cadiz.

The only thing I can say is that this is the worst located hotel in the world. We were touring Andalucia and picked this as a convenient halfway point - but it's location is impossible to find. No directions were given, by chance we had a detailed map but it is located in the centre of town is surrounded by one way streets, in a pedestrianised area and it was very difficult to find, impossible to park anywhere near. No directions or parking was given with our booking. Awful experience. Avoid.
