Lovely characterful hotel, with charming rooms and welcoming staff. Very handily situated for all the sights and amenities of Deventer.

A beautiful historic property near to the river right in the heart of the old city of Deventer. I stayed in a studio, which had a mezzanine level and stairs up to the bed. It was well equipped and the bathroom was very modern. Note - the stairs were very steep up to the bed, so wouldn’t suit someone immobile. The stairs in the hotel are also very steep. The hotel staff were very friendly. All in all a very lovely stay.

Hotel in nice area close to the river. Plenty of bars and places to eat near the hotel.

Property was an apartment with a large kitchen and bathroom. Very well equipped and located in a quiet area of the old town. Fantastic, would definitely stay here again.

What a charming and unique place by the river. The Hotel Vischpoorte gave me a red-curtained room with a large picture window onto the street. It was fun to watch the traffic go by from inside the living room. Many unexplored possibilities would bring me back to this place.

The location is excellent the hotel and all of it excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had the room at the top of the stairs which are steep like a ladder but the hotel carried our bags up and down with a smile. The room was spotless and very large with a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and a living room. The location was central to all the main sights. The hotel arranged parking for us and was nice enough to let us park past our check out time.

Relatively close to the central station,, but ideally located to explore the old city center. Room we stayed in had enough beds for 6 people so ideal for families. Added bonus was the view of the Ijssel river from the room itself.

Friendly, informative, accommodating hosts and clean, spacious room in an interesting small village on the river, where part of ‘A Bridge Too Far was filmed.

Excellent facilities, and a beautiful view of the old city. I had thought I was booking a room and for one person it was quite pricy, but it would be ideal for a couple. I am hoping to go back with my partner before too long!

This hotel has so much character as it's situated in a very old building. The rooms are very spacious & comfortable & the staff are very nice & very helpful. I highly recommend Hotel de Vischpoorte

This is a quaint little hotel that is right on the IJssel river... in the morning, we could step outside, walk across the street and sit by the river, which was lovely. Our room had a great little coffee maker that made delicious European style coffee. Our hosts were very friendly and kind, and were so excited to have an opportunity to speak English! And I must say, their English was perfect! A delightful little hotel right on a fun, happening street, and across from the river... we couldn't have been happier!
