Beautiful location directly at the sea! Super friendly staff, flexible and humorous =) The dinner tastes great (we just ate fish), but there’s not much vegetarian offer. The breakfast is okay - nothing vegan, enough cheese for veggies ;) The rooms are quite simple - no water cooker and the windows don’t close properly (quite cold when it’s windy). The showers are horrible - it’s very hard to manage to find a good temperature. The relaxing room next to the sauna is super hot - no windows for fresh air. All in all: 3/5 =)

This is a family run business, but accomplished in a very chic and professional manner. It is off the beaten track, which on Ruegen can be a very, very good thing. The closest town is a Schloss Stadt (Palace Town) with all the center buildings following a similar design unity. The elegant Schloss park is very well maintained and our English Cockers were highly entertained by the Schloss's deer park. At dusk, while we were relaxing after one of the hotel's excellent meals, the swallows, which nest under the hotel's thatched roof's eves, put on a beautiful display of acrobatic flying while feasting on the unfortunate insects. Around the hotel's grounds there are many wild roe deer, adding to the wonder of the place. The before mentioned Cockers had a wonderful time just laying on the manicured lawns staring into space breathing the sea air. Quite a remarkable place and well worth the expense, in fact, I would call it a bargain.

What an excellent hotel. Original in the concept of individual thatched 3 story houses. Clean, tidy, organised staffed by friendly and knowledgeable staff. I look forward to returning here!
