Booked a “Superior” room and they gave us a broom closet. We were supposed to have twin beds, but they gave us a king. Housekeeping then converted it into two twin beds pressed up against one another. Not like the photos at all (or my prior stay at the hotel). When I mentioned this, reception gave me he key to a larger room to look at. It was in line with the hotel photos, but the safe in this room was tiny and could not hold my valuables (the safe in the first room could). When I mentioned this, no further alternatives were offered so we chose the broom closet (and they charged me to use the safe). 12 tv channels worked, but 10 were in German (they offer 40 channels—this has nothing to do with the channels they tell you in advance they can’t get, these are the ones they offer but weren’t working). There is no maintenance person or manager before 9 or after 5. Bathroom was more of a wet room. Water temperature and pressure were inconsistent during the same shower. No working space in the bedroom or bathroom. Breakfast was disorganized and two of the breakfast ladies were unprofessional and irritating. Asked reception for a North American adapter. They gave me one for the UK. Asked again and they said they didn’t have one (that’s after two trips to reception). Receptionist was clueless when asked for a beach bed or restaurant recommendation. A very disappointing and uncomfortable two days. Will not return. Ever. Will never recommend.

Nice hotel in good location. Staff friendly and rooms small but nice. A kettle in the room but no tea or coffee sachets. The swimming pool was too dirty to use (cloudy and with sand) and mostly in the shade. Location good near the beach and the old town. Of course this makes it noisy - light sleepers might need earplugs!

Room spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and choice of pillows! Fabulous breakfast. Location perfect. Only thing that let the room down was lack of usable storage space for clothes. Large wardrobe but only a few hangers and no drawers large enough to put clothes in.

The hotel is great location and has the best staff. They always go the extra mile to help you. They always so helpful.

This is my second trip to the Atrium Ambiance Hotel and it didn't disappoint. The room was great and the hotel is in a good location, close to the beach and not too far from the centre of Rethymno. All staff were charming and helpful and I would like to say a special thanks to the bar staff Sissy and Nikos who were really lovely and looked after us every evening. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Pros: -The Dutch receptionist is the biggest asset of this hotel! She was so nice and helpful! -Clean hotel and modern enough -Plenty of sunloungers available all the time -best fresh orange juice and tzatziki I ever had -good poolside cocktails Cons: - The waiting staff are very rude. Especially the tall blonde lady. She needs to remember this is a hotel restaurant not an army canteen. - the room and bathroom are tiny. I booked a superior room. There is barely any room to move in the bathroom. The shower is good and spacious though. - food is only ok. Nothing special and just a few dishes to choose from. We did find something to eat though every night. - desserts are poor but there was watermelon at breakfast and dinner. - cleaners always forgot to give us 2 large bathroom towels and would just leave 1 large and 2 small towels. We asked reception to give us another towel one night and they had none..very annoying as it happened almost every day.

Nice hotel with pool close to the beach. Staff were really friendly, room was modern and also clean. We had bed and breakfast and, being British, found that it was targeted at European guests. There were a large variety of continental options while the cooked breakfast was of an okay quality. We had a great stay though and was a fantastic hotel, would definitely recommend!

Had a ovely stay here. Staff are all very friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotlessly clean and the food is really good with something for everyone and the pool bar snacks are great at lunchtime if you can't be bothered to move! The hotel is fairly quiet with entertainment every other night but it was so close to town there is always plenty to do. Swimming pool area is well kept, plenty of sunbeds and although the sun is gone from the pool by around 4pm, it is quite a welcome relief! Rooms are clean and well kept and beds are comfortable!

Struttura ben tenuta pulita e silenziosa ottima per una bella vacanza di relax,personale super cortese,mia figlia ha avuto problemi con un virus intestinale la metre' di cui non ricordo il nome e stata superlativa con tutto lo staff,ogni giorno chiedeva delle condizioni, facendo preparare un pasto apposta per la dieta data dal medico dell' hotel . Cosa dire se divessi tornare a rethymno non avrei alcun dubbio a tornare in questo hotel .io darei anche una stellina in piu ..grazie per averci fatto sentire quasi a casa

Relativ neues und sauberes Hotel. Sehr schöner Ess-und Poolbereich. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit.
