A truly luxurious experience that is wonderfully hidden from the main part of town, but literally just a tiny (100m) walk to get into the center of it all. The service was top notch, and the entire experience is impossible to really summarize in a simple review =)

The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff were polite and helpful. The ferry service to and from Miyajima was convenient and the views around the property were beautiful. However, the rooms felt quite dated and in need of renovation. There was also a noticeable smell throughout the room and parts of the hotel, which affected the overall comfort of our stay. Given the price, I expected more modern accommodations and a fresher atmosphere. Overall, the service and location were strong points, but the condition of the rooms and the odor were disappointing.

So worth the money!! Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. The ryokan was beautifully maintained and very clean. I would recommend staying here.

It was very warm in the room, and we had to open the window at night to get to sleep. It's also not convenient to get to in the Island. That being said, it was a good experience, I wished I could've had dinner there.

This is the best hotel I stayed in during my trip to Japan. Sleeping in Miyajima, was the perfect reset. This hotel is absolutely amazing. Great rooms, spacious, clean and strategically located, I cannot recommend enough.

Staff were very professional and helpful. Best service we have received in Japan. Proximity to the shrine was excellent. The keiseki dinner was fabulous.

Many restaurants and shops nearby, just be careful as many do close early

Good access to amenities. As English tourists disappointed that we were not allowed to have breakfast or evening meal in the hotel restaurant .we were told that the hotel was fully booked and could not cater for all the residents. Very expensive for what was on offer

This hotel was amazing! Perfect location, room had a private onsen on balcony which was really awesome, food was delicious. Loved it and wished we stayed longer!

We had a wonderful stay, staff were friendly and helpful, the room was amazing and overall this was the highlight of our time in Miyajima. I would recommend Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto for anyone visiting Miyajima - this was a fantastic experience.

This property is a beautiful location - walk to the ropeway, shops, beach and all else in Miya-jima; We had a huge room because one in our party cancelled last minute; we had a large family suite which could probably sleep 6; A living room area was nice to relax; on the balcony, a private hot tub, cold plunge and sauna completed the private spa; a public hot springs bath also on site - very private; no fitness center; Our room was brand new and spotless; It was very pricy, but was like having a full apartment; you might also get a smaller room with a view for cost savings; I recommend including breakfast and dinner in your reservation as many restaurants in town are fully booked; There is a lovely coffee/snack room overlooking the beautiful gardens; Bring Google Translate and you will do well communicating; We used the luggage forwarding service and traveled very light to return to the ferry, JR train to our next destination; if you’ve not used before, highly recommend. Georgous property and room!

Room was a classic Japanese tatami room. Big enough for 6, but there was only 2 of us to enjoy. With our own private ofuro as well as private attendant at.all meals.we had the best time.

Staff was very courteous and addressed all needs. Room was clean and as pictured/described.

Lovely hotel and location for a short stay. Upgraded room with open air bath was a nice treat. Hotel was quiet and most restaurants nearby shut early so not much going on after 7.

Hotel is great and the public baths. Staff is excellent and very helpful. My only complaint is the wifi that it keeps dropping and takes a while to reconnect.wifi in room is bad but at lobby the signal is strong but also drops a lot and needs reconnecting.Enjoyed my stay and great hotel and staff.
