Excellent place to stay in Gijon. Very close to the Museo de la Gente Asturiana Pet friendly and they make sure that our pet was comfortable at all times. We loved NH Gijon

Staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were nice and food was good. Only disappointment was the roof pool and bar was closed as it was April and staff said ‘not summer, too cold’….

I've been at this hotel a few times and service is always excellent. Staff at desk is really helpful and super professional. Breakfast buffet coffee can be improved but staff there offered espresso or capuccino from the machine in the kitchen. AND the biggest disappointment is the lack of a gym available the days we were there! Gym is inside a private spa and you have to book it and they close Sunday and Monday. I think a little relax and exercise area is a must for a beautiful and nice hotel like this.

This was by far, the worse experience we've had at a hotel in years. When we checked in they refused to give us a room with a double bed, claiming that there were none available. The room was disgusting to say the least. The entire ceiling was covered with mold, there was dust everywhere, pubic hairs in the shower, and the toilet... didn't even work! Naturally we complained and we're "upgraded" to a room with a double bed. This one, only a little bit cleaner but with the added bonus of a garbage can full of decaying fruit peelings and feces covered toilet paper. The hotel response was an apology along with 6 Lolly Pops (I which I was joking) and free breakfast, but only the next day (gee thanks). The hotel claims it is rated 4 stars...the experience proved otherwise. I would have expected better even from a two star hotel.

We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. The lady at the reception desk was rude; our reservation was made several months ago and requested double bed. It so happens the this hotel has ONLY four rooms with double beds. If they had informed us when we reserved we would have changed hotels. When we got our rooms one had heavy smell of cigarettes and in the other the AC did not work. They gave us new rooms that were OK but also with twin beds. The service and the food at the restaurant and bar was excellent.

NH Gijon is a good hotel for your stay in Gijon. Next to the beach, and while it's on the other side of the beach from the old town, it was great to stay here because of the free street parking for our car rental. This made the hotel a great base for our stay in Asturias. There is plenty of street parking and there are also fun bars/restaurants within 10 minutes from the hotel. The only knock on the hotel were that the double beds kept drifting.

The hotel is great, lovely location. Love the rooftop but remember, this is Asturias and only from June to September and if you get lucky with the weather. Rooms are ok but remember, they DO NOT have kinng or queen size beds, only 2 doubles, which is a shame....
