The Parador surroundings are beautiful. The rooms are nice but did not have the unique architectural quality of the castle. Very clean and restful stay.
The hotel staff, although polite, were not as enthusiastic in their service.
The city’s residents and businesses were very cordial! The visitor’s center was excellent on local information and history.
Best to visit toward the middle-end of the week to enjoy most restaurants and shops as they open from Thursday-Sunday.
Trains to Siguenza from Madrid were limited and closed due to renovations. Transfers were by bus, which made the journey a bit longer. No information to this effect was publicized during the train ticket reservations, FYI. Lastly, there are only four taxi companies (with limited cars) that operate so it’s difficult to acquire same-day transport. Best to have a car.
