Great location- very close to restaurants and the beach, walkable to the main area in Sorrento. Very comfortable rooms with comfortable beds. More than enough space for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Clean hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is a cute, charming boutique hotel. It is located near the marina and at the bottom of a hill below the town center. Despite its location, we liked the walkability of the area and where the hotel is situated. There are two ways to get up to the town center: via centuries old steps by the marina or directly on the road in front of the hotel. Route by the marina and up the steps is charming and picturesque. The route on the road is windy and you have to walk on a very narrow shoulder. Some areas do not have a shoulder so you are walking on the road, cars and trucks would drive around you (you still have to pay attention and watch the traffic). As an American we expect to walk on sidewalks so this experience seems weird until we realized that everyone does it. We mainly used the road because it was the quickest way to walk to the city center and to the laundromat. Our room was pretty small but typical of European hotels. We are able to fit our family of four as the room had a queen sized bed and bunk beds. The bathroom was really small but we managed to make it work. The hotel offered a really nice continental breakfast that was frequently replenished. Some hotels don’t replenish the food even with 30 minutes left in their breakfast service. Not this hotel, they did a good job of keeping the plates of fruits, eggs, sausages and pastries filled. All the staff was friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed.

Fantastic staff and great location.

We were initially given a very disappointing room. It was extremely small, overcrowded with furniture, and had a view of a narrow alley with bird droppings outside. However, the management was kind enough to offer us an upgrade to a sea-view room for an additional fee. The upgraded room was a huge improvement — very spacious, with a beautiful sea view over the rooftops. It also had access to a lovely rooftop deck that almost felt private to our room, which was a really nice bonus. The hotel is not directly on the beach, but it is still close enough to walk there easily. There were a few cleanliness issues. The towels had an unpleasant stale smell, as though they had not been washed or dried properly, and we noticed a few ants in the shower. On a positive note, breakfast was included and was surprisingly very good, with a nice selection. All of the employees were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, the upgraded room, rooftop deck, beautiful view, and excellent staff made the experience much better, but the hotel should pay more attention to room quality and cleanliness.

We loved our stay. Great location and view of the coast and a 1 minute walk to the beach for a swim, perfect!

Hotel Del Mare was a quaint hotel out of the way of the louder areas of Sorrento. Not overly fancy but we weren’t looking for that! I asked staff for help constantly with directions. Yes, it was a hike going up the stairs into the main part of town, but after a day we got used to an and climbed the stairs several times during the day. We got our steps in and lots of exercise!! The restaurants near the hotels were excellent!! If we come back to Sorrento, we’ll definitely book there!!!

Parking was good and well pointed out by staff. Room was nice but small. Breakfast was ok and choice was ok for size of hotel. Great location and restaurants nearby were nice. Reasonable walk to tour boats which is why we booked this hotel

Best part of the stay is the staff. Everyone was extremely welcoming and nice. They were super helpful in arranging the transportation to the Naples hotel. They also connected us with the doctor for my son’s earache. Although the room and bathroom are tiny the helpful staff made all of forget that even being an isssue.
