First time we have stayed in Darwin - this 'bungalow' type hotel, in a great location, quiet (maybe accept for the small bungalows close to the pool) is fully recommended by self and wife (me 71 yrs, wife 52 yrs with a modern approach to life/living and travelling). Staff at reception were very helpful, although some of the 'newer staff - to the Hotel and to Australia should try and improve their knowledge of the English language, as well as the 'Aussie' slang/way of speaking/communicating, to avoid any misunderstandings! The maintenance staff are knowledgeable and fixed a couple of minor problems with keys/door latches et al. The cleaning staff were diligent in their tasks, reasonably efficient in their cleaning/make up room duties and willing to offer extra facial/toilet tissue when requested. The use of an onsite laundry/drinks fridge and a freezer to store food stuffs was appreciated as well as the outside electric BBQ in each outdoor open air area, which we used 6 of the 10 nights we stayed there, namely 20-30 March 2016. So, overall, we give this 3* Hotel, small bungalow style accommodation, an overall rating of 8/10 - value for money, especially in the 'off' season. High season rates may be a little high but still reasonably good value, taking the above comments into consideration. Cheers, and we will return.
