SureStay is a hotel that we will be keeping on our places to stay while in Castlegar! The rooms were updated, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked like a charm which was great as the temperatures were heating up during our stay. The staff were top notch - friendly, super accommodating and very welcoming - and any time we needed anything, they were happy to oblige really quickly (soap refill, extra towels and garbage bags, etc.). We liked SureStay so much that we decided to stay an extra day so we could get another day of riding in the area! There were only a couple suggestions for improvement on an otherwise great few days - the complimentary breakfast was a bonus but some of the items should be checked for best before dates or freshness (yogurt/muffins) and the tables should be periodically wiped down (or provide cleaning materials for guests to do it themselves?). Overall, it's a great place to stay for a few days and we will be sure to book it the next time we're in Castlegar.

Perfect place to stop when travelling crows nest with dog. Convenient rooms with direct outside access. Fantastic dog park in Castlegar! Water pressure in shower was amazing!!! Perfect after a long day on the road.

Overall a decent night’s stay. The beds are old. The linens are ok. The room is a bit on the small side. The air conditioner/heater is so loud it had to be unplugged. It meets basic amenities’ requirements but certainly doesn’t make you feel like you’re staying anywhere special. Bottom line? It serves its purpose. And isn’t going to break the bank.

Toilet only half flushed and bath tub dripped the whole time. Shower was either freezing cold or scolding hot. Almost burned myself because of fault shower mixing valve. Paper thin walls so very noisy when people were coming and going.

We were in a car accident and tried to cancel the hotel asked that we go through Expedia. No phone number except us/ca the person could no speak good English. Very disappointed in Expedia. I’m sure the hotel is fine!

Power went off overnight but staff were able to prepare breakfast promptly and extend hours to compensate, good communication.

The hotel was clean, efficient and comfortable. It is not a destination spot but very functional for our needs. The location was quiet and afforded us the opportunity to sleep and refresh for continuing our journey.

Not a great hotel. Needs a renovation. Waited at least 15 mins to check in whilst listening to the one hotel staff member talk loudly on the phone. Rang the bell number times but it made no difference. Checked out very early the next morning as we didn’t want to be there any longer than we had to.

2nd time we have stayed, would recommend. The room was spacious and clean, staff were very friendly and polite. The hotel is older but it’s clean, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is good.
