A NICE QUIET HOTET

Front desk staff was amazing!

Lovely, clean and well presented hotel which ticks most boxes. Rooms have free access to Netflix which is a nice feature. Breakfast is fine but it would be good if they had non-dairy milk out rather than having to ask for it. My only issue at the hotel was the road noise. If you're a light sleeper, you may struggle with the noise outside, particularly on the first floor. I spoke to reception and was told that all of the standard double rooms faced the road. I opted to downgrade to a single room on an upper floor at the rear of the building. It was so much quieter and more peaceful enabling a proper night's sleep. I would recommend the hotel if you have a room that faces the back as it is a lovely place.

Staff was very courteous and the complementary breakfast was excellent.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, which is conveniently located on a main road about a 15 minute walk from the central bus station (located in a large shopping mall) and a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction to Bratislava old town. Restaurants and shopping are nearby, as is a Leidl grocery store. The hotel has a nice breakfast and professional staff. The rooms have older decor but are very functional and include a refrigerator/mini bar, a safe, a heat lamp in the bathroom & good working climate control. A welcome drink is offered at check-in and the front desk is staffed all night long. Suggestions for improvements include a better gym with updated equipment, longer breakfast hours with almond milk or non-dairy items available, and softer/thicker cotton bed linens. Despite these minor items, we had a great time at this hotel and would recommend it. The restaurants nearby were wonderful (SOHO and Basilico).

This property is definitely not 4* and is not worth the nightly rate. I was quite disappointed at the dated and poor quality of the room. The bed was not too bad at least.

A really comfortable stay with super friendly staff!

All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing! I was welcomed with wine spritzer and there was always a bowl of fruit available. Single, female traveler from America.

The hotel is very nice and breakfast was wonderful. Our bubbler /spa tub did not work or we just did not know how to use it and once in…kinda late to call for directions. When you walk outside of hotel … first impression is area a little sketchy… but we actually had no problems even walking our dogs…and few blocks away the town is fabulous! I give it 5 stars for kindness and breakfast lady who makes best hot chocolate 10 stars!

Beautiful hotel. The rooms are lovely and the jacuzzi was such an amazing final touch. The check in staff were so nice and everything about our stay was perfect. Lovely buffet breakfast with great coffee. Couldn’t have asked for more. Location is perfect for exploring Bratislava and for accessing transport links. Truly a 5* service. The staff there need a special mention for their outstanding professionalism and kindness.

Nice clean room with very comfortable beds. We were facing the road but there was no traffic noise. Breakfast choice was extensive and all the staff were very friendly. It's just a short walk to the Old Town and I'd definitely use it again. The negatives: there was no bar in the evening and the restaurant isn't open in the evenings but the set meal price for lunch looked very good. There are other restaurants in the area which were good but when it's cold (we went for the Christmas markets) it would be nice to eat in the hotel. Small complaints though

This is a great hotel and everything about it was great. Breakfast really good and kept topping it up. Walking distance everywhere. Tram station short stroll away. Lady who checked us in was really nice and helpfull as was the man who checked us out; as well as the breakfast staff. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

I had a great stay at Hotel Danubia Gate. It is great hotel in a very good position. It is near the old town. It is close to transport links. The hotel was very quiet. Breakfast was good. There was a good choice. Staff were helpful. The room was a single room and it was bigger than I thought it would be. It was very clean and had everything I needed.

Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Great location. Excellent breakfast. Large comfortable room. I’d stay again if I’m back in Bratislava.

We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. The experience was great since sending the first email (to book the parking space) until we left with a little gift (a magnet card of Bratislava). The reception staff was polite and helpful, they gave us some extra water when we used all in our mini bar. The room with jacuzzi was clean, spacious and a perfect treat after a long day at work. Breakfast was brilliant, much more variety that we had expected! A gym is very compact but for some quick basic workout is sufficient. The minibar has everything, even some healthy food choices and chewing gums. Overall, this a little gem only a 3-5 min walk from the centre of old town but in a very quiet neighborhood. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who looks for a comfortable stay in the city 🙂
