The hotel and it’s amenities are good, new and stylish. The location is very central. But the sound insulation is not good, our windows were facing the main square and it was impossible to sleep overnight: too much noise from drinking groups of people and the sound proofing is non-existent.

The room was huge and the bed comfortable. However, truly hot water was in short supply and the lights seemed to be haunted, coming on at random times. The staff was very helpful and the location was very good

Stylish and brand new hotel in the central part of Vilafranca. Friendly staff and good location. Breakfast is not worth the money (15 euro p.p.), so we decided to have it somewhere else.

Front desk service was great. Staff went out of their way to help and answer questions. Room and bathroom were very satisfactory. The breakfast was ok., but would have been much improved by offering something hot - even a boiled egg. The hotel is perfectly located for walking around the neighborhood and experiencing local life and culture. It's also less than a 10 minute walk to the train station.

Second time at this small hotel located in the center of Vilafranca. Arrived late in the day to find that there is no longer night staff to check guests in but instead an atm like machine. Happily is was easy to use and didn't result in an issues. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff we met over the following few days were nice and helpful. Unfortunately the nice hotel bar is no longer open in the evenings due to the new business model. The car can be parked in the underground car park across the street for a reasonable daily rate of around 12 euro. Overall it was a pleasant carefree stay.

We enjoyed our stay overall. The room was spacious and I liked the set up with the bathroom. I also liked that it was very much a boutique hotel. However, a few things took it from being a 5/5 to a 4. There was no hot water in the morning, this made for an unpleasant start to the day. There are doors you draw to give privacy and block out the light, however light emanates from the ends and they don't work that well. The room is poorly lit, lots of spot lights but it's still too dark. Coffee was 2€ each - really? The bar staff the evening before admitted it was her first day and she professed to not knowing much. I only wanted two glasses of wine! Also, the parking "deal" wasn't that much of a deal to be honest. Staff were overall courteous and friendly and the location, well you can't get more central!

Good location with convenient underground parking adjacent, within easy walking distance of restaurants, old town and shops. Hotel is modern, clean and well appointed. The wifi was a bit slow at times. It is not run on conventional lines with minimal staff and no staff present during the night. Assistance can be obtained by phone and staff living nearby. Breakfast service wasn't the best so we went out for breakfast where there are plenty of good patisseries and cafes serving good fare. We stayed in the last week of April when the bar and restaurant were closed. Opening first week in May. This wasn't a problem as good restaurants and wine bars very close by. We would use the hotel again.

The hotel is very well located in the center of Vilafranca del Penedès. Staff were friendly and the room was clean, although furnished in a little old-fashioned way.

We stayed in this a hotel as a base for touring round the Penedes wine region, and in terms of location it was perfect. The hotel was clean; very nicely and newly designed (albeit, perhaps a bit uber chic for a country town); and the room was quiet and comfortable. On the negative side, I would agree about the comments about the needlessly complicated light switches and the safe. But the real issue for us was the staff (relatively inexperienced) and how they reacted to a number of issues we had (i.e. in a not particularly customer friendly way). The most significant issue was that we were locked out of the hotel one evening for an hour from 6 pm to 7 pm after having driven all day! That's right, both front doors were locked in the early evening and we (and no other guests) could not get back into the hotel as there was no buzzer either and no-one on the front desk. Apparently, there was only one person on duty and she was helping the repairman fix the internet (which only worked intermittently). She did not seem overly concerned when we pointed out that this was probably not best practice. The lift also broke during our stay (we were on the 4th floor!), and this also was not handled well by the skeleton staff. So overall, nice hotel, but indifferent service when we were there.
